Vehicle History

June 2020 Go North East Additional hot spares are being deployed in Gateshead this week in case of any increase in demand associated with the opening of non-essential shops. As such, this vehicle has been reinstated at Riverside.
June 2020 Go North East From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been re-licensed, but remains out of service.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
April 2019 Go North East Photograph by In line with the operation of "Toon Link" services 6 and X31 transferring from Stanley Depot to Riverside, this vehicle has also transferred to Riverside.
October 2017 Go North East In order to improve the customer experience on "Toon Link" services 6, X30/X31 and X70/X71, which all provide links between Newcastle, Stanley and Consett, this vehicle has been fitted with free customer Wi-Fi.
May 2017 Go North East Photograph by Having previously carried sub-branding for services X30/X31 (Stanley - Newcastle); this vehicle has had these vinyls stripped and new vinyls added, sporting the taglines "For city centre shops and leisure" and "Frequent buses to Newcastle".
October 2015 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has gained "Toon Link" branding, with sub-branding for services X30/X31 (Newcastle - Stanley). Upcoming service changes will see services X30/X31 and new peak-time service X32 introduced to the "Toon Link" brand.
