July 2018 Arriva North East Photograph by Released following the return to service of Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 7412 (LJ03 MHU) at Ashington; this vehicle has transferred from Ashington Depot to Belmont, where it will provide cover due to a high VOR, and expectant PVR increase in September.
May 2016 Arriva North East This vehicle has transferred from Redcar Depot to Ashington, due to the PVR increase on "MAX" service X18 (Newcastle - Berwick-upon-Tweed) for the summer season.
May 2016 Arriva North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from Jesmond Depot to Redcar, for use once more on "MAX" service X93 (Middlesbrough - Scarborough).

March 2016 Arriva North East Photograph by As part of Nexus' £350m Metro 'all change' modernisation programme, there are no trains running between Tynemouth and Shiremoor in either direction from 19th March until 2nd April, to allow for track replacement work. 8.7 kilometres of 50-year-old-tracks and track beds between Tynemouth and Shiremoor are being replaced so that the new track will last 50 years more. This vehicle has entered service at Jesmond Depot, for use on the Metro Replacement bus service.
January 2016 Arriva North East Following the loss of the 159 service to Abellio in November 2015; this vehicle, which was previously in the fleet of Arriva London as fleet number VLA144, has been released for cascade and has been acquired by Arriva North East. It is currently undergoing preparation for service within the Arriva North East fleet, and is being repainted and refurbished to "MAX" specification.
