Following the cascade of "Sapphire" branded vehicles to Jesmond Depot to upgrade "Great North Road Routes" services 43/44/45, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Jesmond Depot. Although withdrawn, this vehicle remains available to be reinstated as and when required, until the end of October, for use on Metro Replacement and Rail Replacement services.

Due to a PVR increase at Jesmond, this vehicle has transferred from Ashington Depot to Jesmond. The PVR increase reflects the additional vehicle for "Great North Road" services 43, 44 and 45, as well as the loss of Nexus contracts for the 18/18A and 32/32A.
