September 2020 Go North East Photograph by In line with the re-commencement of scholars services for the 2020/21 academic year, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside to Deptford.
June 2020 Go North East Photograph by With most scholars services in Tyne & Wear returning to operation from Monday 15 June, re-allocations have taken place to accommodate the operation of all of these services. Services 13 and 25 at Chester-le-Street will now be operated by single-deck vehicles to assist in the release of double-deck vehicles for scholars. This is one of the vehicles which have been released as a consequence, and has therefore transferred from Chester-le-Street Depot to Riverside.
June 2020 Go North East Photograph by From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Riverside.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
March 2020 Go North East Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is falling customer demand and available resources. Therefore, to combat this during these unprecedented times, Go North East has reduced its service levels from Monday 23 March to run enhanced Sunday timetables rather than the full normal weekday output (Sunday service levels, plus some extra morning journeys for key workers, and a small number of contracted school/works services). As such - due to the lower number of vehicles being required at the moment - a number of transfers have taken place to ensure services are operated by the most fuel-efficient, economic and reliable buses. One such transfer is of this vehicle from Chester-le-Street Depot to Riverside, in order to operate scholars services.
September 2019 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot to Chester-le-Street. At Chester-le-Street, this vehicle should see primary allocation to services 13/14/25/X22, but also remains available to act as a spare double-deck vehicle for services 21/X21.
July 2019 Go North East Photograph by Whilst building and facilities work is being carried out at Washington Depot, the operation of the Miscellaneous Works and additional peak-time commercial services that the depot operates, has transferred to Deptford. In order to operate this work, this vehicle has transferred from Washington Depot to Deptford.
October 2018 Go North East Following changes to Nexus Miscellaneous Works and scholars contracts, which has seen Go North East being awarded with over 70 of the available contracts, this vehicle has transferred from Chester-le-Street Depot to Washington. It has been allocated to Washington to operate the newly awarded contracts at Washington and to also act as a spare vehicle for "Red Arrows" services X1 and 921, like the similar examples (3941 - 3943) already allocated to the depot.

October 2017 Go North East Photograph by Following the cascade and repainting of the former "Tyne Tees Xpress" branded Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs onto the "Tyne Valley Ten" group of services; this vehicle, which previously formed part of the PVR of these services to accommodate service changes, has now transferred to Chester-le-Street Depot. At Chester-le-Street; this vehicle should act as a dedicated spare vehicle for "Angel" service 21, and will replace a Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka currently serving this purpose at the depot.

December 2014 Go North East Originally a spare vehicle for "Tyne Tees Xpress" services X9/X10, this vehicle was fitted with Icomera free customer Wi-Fi to meet the standard specification of the normal Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 allocation. Now that the vehicle has been repainted red and none of the other spare Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini vehicles at Riverside Depot have free Wi-Fi, the kit is surplus to requirements and as such has been removed to be used on another vehicle in the fleet.
October 2014 Go North East Photograph by Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 6042 (V306 LGC) is now fully repaired after receiving maintenance at Riverside and has consequently transferred back to Deptford for use on the npower shuttle services. As such, this vehicle has returned to service at Riverside Depot following loan to Deptford.
September 2014 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Deptford, on temporary loan, as a replacement for Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 6042 (V306 LGC), which recently transferred to Deptford Depot with outstanding defects which need to be repaired at Riverside.
August 2014 Go North East Following a period of use in Glasgow to provide transport on behalf of First Group for the Commonwealth Games 2014, this vehicle has now returned to Go North East.
July 2014 Go North East Photograph by First Group approached a number of bus operators up and down the United Kingdom to provide transport for them during the Commonwealth Games which are being held in Glasgow this year. Go North East has provided a total of 21 vehicles for the duration of the event, with this vehicle being just one. They are being held overnight at First Glasgow's depot on Tollcross Road, Parkhead.

This will allow greater flexibility, with this vehicle now being able to deputise for a branded vehicle on the "TEN" group of services in addition to "Tyne Tees Xpress" services X9/X10.

Riverside Depot replaces the existing depots at Sunderland Road in Gateshead and Winlaton which date back to the days of the tramways.
