Go North East
From 28th January 2018, Go North East are making changes to a number of services to improve reliability and to allow new travel opportunities. As part of these service changes, "South Tyne" services 88/88A have been withdrawn and replaced by revised service 9 and new "Crusader" service 26. The 88/88A services were previously operated by the low-cost unit at Riverside Depot, and to replace the work in this unit at Riverside, the operation of the "Metrocentre Mini" M6/M7/M8 services has transferred across from Stanley. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Stanley Depot to Riverside.

This vehicle has received "Metrocentre Mini" branding, for services M6/M7/M8. "Metrocentre Mini" is the new brand name being introduced for the direct and frequent services operating between Stanley and Metrocentre. Service changes, effective 21st May, will see "Venture" services V7/V8 re-numbered M7/M8, and the introduction of a new service to increase the frequency on this corridor to every 20 minutes. The additional bus per hour will be numbered M6, and will run to South Stanley and South Moor, offering a direct bus to Metrocentre from these areas.
