April 2020 Go North East Photograph by Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
March 2020 Go North East Photograph by Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is falling customer demand and available resources. Therefore, to combat this during these unprecedented times, Go North East has reduced its service levels from Monday 23 March to run enhanced Sunday timetables rather than the full normal weekday output (Sunday service levels, plus some extra morning journeys for key workers, and a small number of contracted school/works services). As such - due to the lower number of vehicles being required at the moment - a number of transfers have taken place to ensure services are operated by the most fuel-efficient, economic and reliable buses. One such transfer is of this vehicle from Chester-le-Street Depot to Hexham, in order to operate scholars services.
March 2019 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has now entered service within the Coaching Unit at Chester-le-Street Depot.
February 2019 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has now been delivered to Go North East, and is now undergoing PDI prior to entering service. This batch of five coaches have been ordered to replace the oldest stock at Chester-le-Street Depot's Coaching Unit, although only four of the coaches released will be withdrawn and disposed of, owing to the PVR increase in the Coaching Unit last year. Due to an issue at the DVLA with registering the original registration marks, 7138 - 7142 surrendered their BD68xxx registration marks prior to delivery and were re-registered to BM68xxx series registration marks. This vehicle is now consequently registered as BM68 AHF.
February 2019 Go North East Go North East have ordered five new coaches for the National Express contracts which the company operates. This follows the purchase of seven similar examples on the Scania K360EB4 chassis a few months ago, during November 2018, for East Yorkshire Motor Services. This vehicle, currently registered as BD68 TXL, is now on-site at Caetano UK Ltd's yard on Mill Lane, Coalville, with delivery expected imminently.
