Exactly what I grasped from it as well Wink

Should help however, and I think if the trial goes well (I'm sure they said they were trialling it at Park Lane first) it would benefit other bus/train stations, especially at night time when there is a higher chance of incident.

Im sure those who use Park Lane will love them, I can imagine it now, I whip out my Camera in Park Lane on the Corner next to the Entrance to the Metro for a Quick Snap of an Odd Allocation, then all you hear is "Photography is strictly forbidden on Nexus Property, Please stop taking Photos Immediately", then the Station Manager comes storming round to where you are to give another telling off, Waste of Money if you ask me, should using the Money to Update those Manky Bogs, or better yet knock the whole Bus Station down and Rebuild it from scratch.

Apparently they are replacing it with shelters similar to those at Heworth

RE: North East Bus Stations - Adam - 04 Dec 2014

Coming home from uni tonight, I went to Eldon Square for the 5:35 X25. Noticed that at the stand beside the doors, there was a very politically incorrect notice from Nexus, which read something along the lines of:

"Passenger Notice...

Please do not attempt to board buses after the driver has closed HIS doors".

I'll have to try and get a sneaky photo of it sometime.

Washington galleries has the worst bus station ever, its freezing, badly built like park lane!

RE: North East Bus Stations - G-CPTN - 09 Dec 2014

I fear for what Hexham will have foisted upon it.

I wouldnt say it is Badly Built...well other than the Double Stand for the 4/X1, Otherwise its ok in my opinion, As for Park Lane hurl as much abuse as you like at it, as it is horribly built Bus Station.

Two 20s, two Es and two 35s all waiting to get on their appropriate stands doesn't go down well during the morning peak...

I don't think the double stand for the 4/X1 would be a huge problem, if the bus station was used correctly. For some reason, the 4/X1 don't use the set down stands on either side of the bus station, which just leads to a congestion of people trying to board/alight two buses at the same time, on the stand. If the set down stands were used, anyone wishing to connect with an X1/4 would simply join the back of the queue, having walked through the bus station.

Not sure why these stands aren't used though? Only the 2A/2C seem to use them.

(09 Dec 2014, 4:35 pm)Dan Two 20s, two Es and two 35s all waiting to get on their appropriate stands doesn't go down well during the morning peak...

Then add Three 60s, Two 42s, Two 61s, a 38/238/700 and a X7 on the otherside, along with half a dozen National Holiday Setras and the Arriva X21/22 and 23 all in at the same time, then add all the Schoolies crossing the Road to head up Stockton Road to School then it is Bloody Chaotic.
