RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - S830OFT - 16 Jun 2018 (15 Jun 2018, 10:37 pm)JM03 309/310 at every 20 mins is a plan for disaster Not with service 311 along Coast Road aswell, along with service X39 at peak times. There is also service 57 which can take passengers to Newcastle, most passengers tend to get on the first bus that comes on that road. RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - Michael - 16 Jun 2018 64 and 95 to merge, because tbh, they're the most pointless routes Go North East have. RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - V514DFT - 16 Jun 2018 (15 Jun 2018, 7:24 pm)S830OFT 301: Metrocentre - Gateshead - Newcastle - Byker - Wallsend - North Shields - Tynemouth - Whitley Bay - Seaton Sluice - Blyth.Wasnt the 1 originally the 301 along with the 302 which changed into the 1 and 2 in 2007,so why allow it to gain the '30' bit again, also at some point in the past the 301 did serve the metrocentre but was changed, the 49 used to also be the blaydon racers aswell as the 48 never really get why they changed its route number tbh, but it became the 49/A/B/C so if you changed the 49 why dont you have the 49 and 49A do 1 bit and have a 48 and 48A do the other bit you suggested RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - S830OFT - 16 Jun 2018 35: Durham - High Pittington - Low Moorsley - Hetton Le Hole - Hetton Downs - Houghton - Herrington Burn - East Herrington - Silksworth - The Barnes - Royal Hospital - Sunderland Interchange - Fulwell The Grange - Cleadon - Harton Nook - South Shields. This service is extended from Low Moorsley to Durham, allowing service 265 to serve Rainton. It will no longer operate to Boldon, instead operate to Shields allowing the withdrawal of the 20 services. This service will not run past Low Moorsley for journeys to Durham on Evenings and Sundays. 35A: Durham - Belmont - West Rainton - East Rainton - Hall Lane - Houghton - A690 - East Herrington - The Barnes - Sunderland - Fulwell The Grange - Cleadon - Harton Nook - South Shields. This is the prime service to Durham, it will operate 7 days a week under a 30 minute frequency. It will pretty much operate directly to the 20 service, apart from serving the Royal Hospital. X35: Durham - Belmont - Rainton Bridge - Houghton - A690 - East Herrington - The Barnes - Sunderland - Roker - Seaburn - Whitburn - Coastal Route - Gypsys Green and Pier Head - South Shields. This new express service will not serve Rainton and will operate the same as the current peak X20. However, instead of serving Cleadon and Harton alike services 35/35A it will take the coastal route to Shields operating along the coast. Service 35/35A/X35 combined will continue the Every 10 minute frequency between Durham and South Shields. 36: Chester Le Street - Great Lumley - Fence Houses - Houghton - Herrington Burn - East Herrington - Silksworth - Tunstall Bank - Esdale Estate - Hollycarside - Leechmere Asda - Ashbrooke - Sunderland - Southwick - Castletown. This service is revised to operate hourly, it will replace service 38 between Tunstall and Sunderland. X36: Chester Le Street - Great Lumley - Fence Houses - Rainton Bridge - Houghton - A690 - East Herrington - The Barnes - Sunderland - Enterprise Park - Castletown - Hylton Castle - Town End Farm - Boldon - Heworth. This new express service will replace the North side section of the current 35 under a hourly frequency. 56B: Sunderland - Southwick - North Hylton Road - Castletown - Hylton Castle - Town End Farm - Downhill - Boldon Cinema - Boldon Asda - Downhill - Red House - Witherwack - Fulwell The Grange - Sunderland. 56C: Opposite direction but will operate clockwise around Boldon, it will serve the Cinema prior to serving Asda. 56B/56C will both operate hourly. 65: Durham - Belmont - West Rainton - East Rainton - Houghton Road - Hetton Le Hole - Murton - Dalton Park - Seaham. Rerouted via Rainton instead of Moorsley. Frequencys: 35: Mon - Sat (Every 30 minutes) Sun/Evenings* (Hourly) 35A: Mon - Sat (Every 30 minutes) Sun/Evenings (Every 30 minutes) X35: Mon - Sat (Every 30 minutes) Sun/Evenings (No Service) 36: Mon - Sat (Hourly) Sun/Evenings (Hourly) X36: Mon - Sat (Hourly) Sun/Evenings (No Service) 56B/C: Mon - Sat (Hourly) Sun/Evenings (Hourly) 65: Mon - Sat (Hourly) Sun/Eve (No Service) *Journeys to Durham terminate at Low Moorsley, passengers should use service 35A. Evening and Sunday journeys on 36 group of services: Service 36/56B/C will operate, however NexusBus 135/136 additionally run. Services 35A/X35/X36 will operate up the A690, Services 35 and 36 will serve Herrington Burn. Services 36 and X36 combine to provide a Every 30 minute frequency between Houghton and Chester Le Street. Low Moorsley will have: 2 buses an hour to Durham. Opposed to the current 1 Rainton will have: 3 buses an hour to Durham opposed to the current 6. Houghton will have: 6 buses an hour to Durham... Harton and Cleadon will have: 4 buses an hour to Shields and Sunderland opposed to the current 6. RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - FrankT1993 - 18 Jun 2018 (16 Jun 2018, 8:58 am)Michael 64 and 95 to merge, because tbh, they're the most pointless routes Go North East have. Sorry, I don't agree. For me it's a big difference if I take 64 or 95. I undertand that you don't use those lines on a daily basis, that's why you make this suggestion. Frank RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - BusLoverMum - 18 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 1:01 pm)FrankT1993 Sorry, I don't agree. For me it's a big difference if I take 64 or 95. I undertand that you don't use those lines on a daily basis, that's why you make this suggestion. I think this is a problem with a lot of suggestions in these threads. It would make little difference to me if the Gne 59 was scrapped, for example, as I have plenty of other options, including walking to the Arnison centre or centre of Durham, but people in Quarrington Hill would lose their only Sunday service. Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - Jamie M - 18 Jun 2018 X10: Newcastle - Gateshead - Heworth - Darlton Park - Peterlee - Norton - Stockton - Middlesbrough - (by jetpack) Scarborough Every 60 minutes mon-sun. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - S830OFT - 18 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 5:31 pm)Jamie M X10: A better option would be to introduce a Coach service. RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - citaro5284 - 18 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 5:31 pm)Jamie M X10: It would need to go through Lambton thou! RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - Jamie M - 18 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 5:39 pm)citaro5284 It would need to go through Lambton thou! That is a very good point, how silly of me to forget! RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - JP6004 - 18 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 5:31 pm)Jamie M X10: Id have it go to Whitby nstead of Scarborough. Deffo be quicker than train and push Arrivas nose out of joint RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - Malarkey - 18 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 5:39 pm)citaro5284 It would need to go through Lambton thou! Cheeky Bugger RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - Malarkey - 18 Jun 2018 Newcastle - Gateshead - Stockton - Middlesbrough - Whitby Newcastle - Gateshead - Stockton - Middlesbrough - Whitby - Scarborough Newcastle - Gateshead - Stockton - Middlesbrough - Whitby - Scarborough - Filey - Bridlington Newcastle - Gateshead - Stockton - Middlesbrough - Thirsk - York - Market Weighton - Hull Newcastle - Middlesbrough - Thirsk - Easingwold - York Newcastle - Middlesbrough - Thirsk - Ripon - Harrogate - Leeds Newcastle - Middlesbrough - Leeds - Hull Sunderland - Peterlee - Middlesbrough - Whitby Sunderland - Peterlee - Middlesbrough - Whitby - Scarborough Sunderland - Peterlee - Middlesbrough - Whitby - Scarborough - Filey - Bridlington Sunderland - Peterlee - Middlesbrough - Thirsk - York - Pocklington - Market Weighton - Hull Sunderland - Middlesbrough - Thirsk - Easingwold - York Sunderland - Middlesbrough - Thirsk - Ripon - Harrogate - Leeds Sunderland - Middlesbrough - Leeds - Hull I haven't came up with a service number series or frequencies for the above suggestion, I do think it would be we wise for Go North East/EYMS to integrate NatEX services and expand them into these routes to make them more viable, alternatively they could adopt a Day Trip style operation again to make services viable. RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - V514DFT - 18 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 6:56 pm)Malarkey Newcastle - Gateshead - Stockton - Middlesbrough - WhitbyMay i suggest something in the 500's RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - RM2186 - 19 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 6:56 pm)Malarkey Newcastle - Gateshead - Stockton - Middlesbrough - Whitby (18 Jun 2018, 9:38 pm)V514DFT May i suggest something in the 500's Could maybe route the Newcastle routes through Washington Galleries too, just a thought RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - Dan - 19 Jun 2018 (18 Jun 2018, 6:56 pm)Malarkey Newcastle - Gateshead - Stockton - Middlesbrough - Whitby I don't think there's much point in duplicating corridors which already have plenty of coach services. Between National Express and Megabus, they've got most of these corridors carved up already. However, I do think a competitive express service with Arriva between Middlesbrough and Scarborough and/or Leeds and Hull would do well, as there'd be traffic at either end (X9/X10 into Middlesbrough, various EYMS services in Scarbs and Hull. RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - S830OFT - 19 Jun 2018 (19 Jun 2018, 2:55 pm)Dan I don't think there's much point in duplicating corridors which already have plenty of coach services. Between National Express and Megabus, they've got most of these corridors carved up already. Also reduce the line of passengers for X93 as it is extremely busy in the summer. RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - Andreos1 - 19 Jun 2018 I think the Whitby/Scarborough - Teesside corridor is pretty much boxed off now the X4 and X93 appear sorted. Not sure there is enough demand all year round or enough interest to offer any competition. My initial thoughts on connecting the two operating areas revolved around connecting the X9/10 with the 45 series and EYMS other service around York (is it 18 to McArthur Glen?). Operated by Pocklington depot, it would be York - Middlesbrough via A59, Knaresbrough, A1/A168, Thirsk, Northallerton and Stokesley - or A19 to A66 (haven't quite decided). It would call at all local stops to Knaresbrough, then express/non-stop to Thirsk, limited stop beyond there to Middlesbrough calling at key calling points/timing points only. Through tickets would be available and whilst there may not be massive numbers on a York - Middlesbrough service, through passengers would supplement local travel. Obviously it would also connect the two operating areas. RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - callum2015 - 19 Jun 2018 (19 Jun 2018, 6:33 pm)Andreos1 I think the Whitby/Scarborough - Teesside corridor is pretty much boxed off now the X4 and X93 appear sorted. Extending the current 128 service might be an option - extending from its current terminus of Helmsley along the A170 Into Thirsk, then either run direct via A19/Via Northallerton or Via Stokesley into Middlesbrough. Run from Scarborough depot with maybe 1 or 2 buses outstationed at Peterlee to allow earlier journeys from Middlesbrough RE: Go North East: Service Suggestions v2 - S830OFT - 19 Jun 2018 (19 Jun 2018, 9:46 pm)callum2015 Extending the current 128 service might be an option - extending from its current terminus of Helmsley along the A170 Into Thirsk, then either run direct via A19/Via Northallerton or Via Stokesley into Middlesbrough.
