RE: Stanley Travel - S813 FVK - 17 Mar 2014

(16 Mar 2014, 10:34 pm)tyresmoke Stanley Travel now have Plaxton Elite CN10HFY, as seen on their twitter feed... Former Parks of Hamilton machine.

To replace M1 STX on the 'Glentons' contract. Glentons say that the coaches used can only get 5 year old. M1 STX is now 6 years however CN10 HFY is 4 so it will only get used for a year.

In other news, Enviro 200 MH07 EPY has been re-registered and is now E2 STX.

For those who ever wonder why OO05 STX isn't around it was taken off the road by VOSA at the North Durham Academy this morning due to its rear Engine flap thing (like the boot of a car, don't know what you call it) not closing properly.

Yet Arriva get away with it on the Omnis... Don't think I've seen one of those closed yet!

It has been back on the morning 968/452 runs.
It has passed me this morning and yesterday.

It was on the road this morning, taking the place of the Enviro on the 968

My thoughts exactly.
Was waiting to pull out of a junction and got a surprise when it was coming along the road - after what you had said about VOSA pulling it.

I am actually surprised still. I would of thought that VOSA would have to come back out after the repair job to check it over before sending it back out again. Although this is Stanley Travel we are talking about here so probably didn't do anything. Im surprised K2 STX (P823 SGP) hasn't been pulled off the road by VOSA because of its speed gauge not working. I guess that just shows you how much they care about their vehicles.

Guessing it depends on what the officer issued

The 2 Solo SR demos have been returned to Optare or whoever they loaned them off and ON02 STX (MX05 OTJ) has been placed onto the Cathedral Bus while Y40 STX has replaced ON02 on the 706/707/708.

I'm sure I saw a Solo SR this morning on the 40B and ON02 STX on the 40.

Well both SRs have been returned. I don't know if they were returned tonight (which I doubt) or whether you were just seeing things.

RE: Stanley Travel - S813 FVK - 24 Mar 2014

Stanley Travel have gained a North Durham Academy scholars contract from fellow independent operator Nightengale.

RE: Stanley Travel - Andreos1 - 24 Mar 2014

MPD on 968/452 this morning. Enviro was on this evening.

It did used to be the same allocation - but after the morning run seemingly going onto the 23, there seems to have been a bit of a swap.

ON02 STX is allocated to the Cathedral Bus. I however don't know why you are seeing the SRs on there since they have both been returned.
