Passengers don't like changing buses and there's carnage ahead.

No, it's not the Tyne & Wear or County Durham that Roger is on about. It's London.
We need to get his thoughts on the NE and see what he thinks about the changes up here.

would he have a stroke at what's happening ( gne) and going to happen ( allegedly SCNE and arriva) up here?

Looking through Roger's previous postings, he's always favoured GNE especially the branding and high-quality printed timetables.

Exactly that. But surely he will be conflicted with his mate and fellow 10 percenter doing exactly the sort of thing that RF doesn't approve of.

If SNE and ANE did it. Quite possibly!
Maybe he's totally unaware of these GNE changes. Someone needs to let him know.

I think he would have been better off keeping his blog and tweets anonymous to be honest.

I’m sure that he’s already mentioned the GNE changes in passing in one of his tweets/blog posts.
I’m sure that there will be plenty of new timetables for him to enthuse over!

I’m not convinced that ANE haven’t already made their changes, and SNE haven’t really got a lot in South Shields/Sunderland to prune.

RE: London Bus Operations - MetrolineGA1511 - 11 Jun 2022

In most cases the cuts will reduce the number of routes along certain roads and reduce through connections rather than being wholesale withdrawals.

The Go-Ahead London cuts mean 7 route withdrawals, 45 buses worth of work and 95 drivers jobs eliminated. However it is believed that there will be no compulsory redundancies.

We are pleased to share photos of the ‘ie tram’ bus in production at Irizar’s factory in northern Spain. These sleek, zero-emission electric vehicles will operate on Route 358 (Crystal Palace to Orpington) as part Go-Ahead London’s ongoing commitment to sustainable transport.

Sorry but was someone drunk when they designed them? - look horrible.

Looks like these things have a new competitor in terms of ugliness.

Likely with Cummins in Darlington, you can often find stuff out on road test around Darlington

A bit late to the party but Go-Ahead London are going to be using Irizar ie Trams on the 358 (Orpington - Crystal Palace).
Were first reported back in Oct 22 as being ordered, the photos from the bus expo (Nov 22) look really good.
Doubt they'll be ordered up here, but you never know.

I wish GNE would bring up the Citaros which are going to be displaced.

I hope they get some those tram/buses just not sure what routes they would go on

I would like to see them on one of Newcastles Stagecoach routes (i.e.30/31), doubt GNE would want two different electric fleets at the minute.
Be interesting if a demo ever comes up here.
