RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - LVK 404L - 03 May 2019 (03 May 2019, 1:55 am)V514DFT No i dont watch or read the news,no need in an arsey comment,im entitled to ask questions,as are you!!! I wasn't being arsey as you put it. I meant that it was plastered all over the newspapers online. On the news itself. Metro is operated by Nexus and updates have been online continuous since the beginning. If your online on this forum do you not read other transport related websites such as nexus. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - V514DFT - 03 May 2019 (03 May 2019, 4:54 am)ifm001 I wasn't being arsey as you put it. Nope RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - LVK 404L - 03 May 2019 (03 May 2019, 10:22 am)V514DFT Nope You would be suprised at some of the information you can find out by checking other websites as well as this one. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - V514DFT - 03 May 2019 Did it by any chance happen on Monday,if so seen a video about it,it was 4014 and 4089 that brought the power cable down near West Monkseaton bound for St James, service suspended Benton-St James RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Andreos1 - 13 Jun 2019 Not sure if it's been noted here, but the new interchange at South Shields is due to open on 4th August. There's a line closure between Chichester and Shields in the lead-up, from 8th July for 4 weeks. Platform 2 at Chi will also be reopening ahead of the 8th July. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 13 Jun 2019 (13 Jun 2019, 2:06 pm)Andreos1 About time, where did you find the information? RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Andreos1 - 13 Jun 2019 (13 Jun 2019, 4:25 pm)Michael About time, where did you find the information? From official sources. I'll see if I can upload a transcript of a document I've got, at some point tomorrow. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Andreos1 - 14 Jun 2019 (13 Jun 2019, 9:45 pm)Andreos1 A small extract of the letter I received. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - pbjd - 13 Sep 2019 A new timetable is being introduced on 13th October. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Andreos1 - 18 Sep 2019 BBC are reporting Hitachi have lost out on the bid for new rolling stock. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-tyne-49738239 RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Adrian - 18 Sep 2019 (18 Sep 2019, 12:49 pm)Andreos1 Disgraceful decision. Should always be looking to invest in the region first and foremost. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - JM03 - 24 Sep 2019 4040 in fleet livery, only 4083 not yet pained been paired with 4040 tbis morning RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - V514DFT - 14 Oct 2019 (24 Sep 2019, 7:31 am)JM03 4040 in fleet livery, only 4083 not yet pained been paired with 4040 tbis morning Manage to get a pic?,and whats the status of 4022,last i heard was it was being repaired, but that was a few months ago RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - S830OFT - 14 Oct 2019 (14 Oct 2019, 2:28 pm)V514DFT RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - S830OFT - 06 Dec 2019 https://www.nexus.org.uk/news/item/rmt-union-calls-two-day-strike-tyne-and-wear-metro RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - AIG20 - 06 Dec 2019 (06 Dec 2019, 5:09 pm)S830OFT https://www.nexus.org.uk/news/item/rmt-union-calls-two-day-strike-tyne-and-wear-metro This will cause havoc to all the bus services with heavier than usual traffic on the roads and passenger demand. Friday's and Saturday's are usually the busiest days of the week in terms of bus use and traffic on the roads (which I assume is why these days have been selected for the strike). If this does go ahead bus companies would have to allocate double decker's / extra buses to all services that stop near to / compete with the metro. I'm sure Stagecoach allocated extra buses to the X34 many years ago when there were issues with the metro? Maybe they will have to do the same again to the X24 & X34 if the strike goes ahead. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Ds1197 - 06 Dec 2019 (06 Dec 2019, 7:12 pm)AIG20 This will cause havoc to all the bus services with heavier than usual traffic on the roads and passenger demand. Think the 27 got deckers and ran in 2s the last time a strike happened |
