Airport is also open so was either first seen in 1991 or was branded before hand but remained around for the Airport extension opening. Definately one of the first advertisement liveries, if not the first. Saying that, struggling to think of the ones which followed in the following few years after. There may have been a Metroland livery - but not sure on others. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 08 Jul 2014 Update on the metro due to the weather - Tyne and Wear Metro There are no trains running between North Shields and Tynemouth in both directions until further notice. This is due to flooding. Go North East are accepting Metro tickets in the affected area. Bus services 1 amd 17 operate between North Shields and Tynemouth. A bus replacement service will be operating in the affected areas.
