RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Dan - 15 Aug 2015 Superb service this evening - the next four services on the boards are all towards South Shields, meaning that there isn't another South Hylton train for at least 56 minutes..? Metro Inspector was unable to provide an answer for the delays, when approached by customers. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - DanPicken - 15 Aug 2015 (15 Aug 2015, 7:10 pm)Dan Superb service this evening - the next four services on the boards are all towards South Shields, meaning that there isn't another South Hylton train for at least 56 minutes..? It's to do with the Modernisation Work South Hylton trains don't generally come up. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Dan - 15 Aug 2015 (15 Aug 2015, 7:22 pm)danpick It's to do with the Modernisation Work South Hylton trains don't generally come up. Bloody hope that's the case..! Mine was on the boards when it was due in 2 minutes, but could see no further trains for South Hylton when the "This train is for South Hylton" message disappeared. Just left Brockley Whins and there was one South Hylton train on the board, but couldn't see the time for when it was due. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - DanPicken - 15 Aug 2015 (15 Aug 2015, 7:26 pm)Dan Bloody hope that's the case..! Did the Metro make it through without being hit with stones? RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Dan - 15 Aug 2015 (15 Aug 2015, 7:27 pm)danpick Did the Metro make it through without being hit with stones? Won't make a difference - it's filthy anyway, so you couldn't see any marks off the stones! RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 17 Aug 2015 Tyne and Wear Metro There are no trains running between Wallsend and North Shields in both directions, this is due to a vehicle hitting a Metro bridge. We will update you once we have more information. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Adrian - 17 Aug 2015 (17 Aug 2015, 9:59 am)Michael Tyne and Wear MetroNotice how they actually give you the details, when it's not them at fault? RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Dan - 17 Aug 2015 (17 Aug 2015, 1:52 pm)aureolin Notice how they actually give you the details, when it's not them at fault? That's what baffles me - sometimes they are so forthright with providing service updates, and other times they seem not to have a clue..? It's certainly a lot better to provide more information than too little, mind, and they are usually pretty good at communicating delays. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - DanPicken - 22 Aug 2015 4035 had Gosforth Depot instead of South Hylton on the Blind. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Dan - 25 Aug 2015 Reserve unfurnished Metrocar 4040 is on train 102 today. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 26 Aug 2015 There are no trains running between East Boldon and Sunderland in both directions until further notice. This is due to obstruction on the line. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Adrian - 26 Aug 2015 I don't seem to be getting the actual alerts on delays, but I get an email every morning and night informing of a good service. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Dan - 27 Aug 2015 (26 Aug 2015, 8:23 pm)aureolin I don't seem to be getting the actual alerts on delays, but I get an email every morning and night informing of a good service. I wasn't aware there was a sort of e-mail alert to notify everyone of delays and disruption (at least when it works)? Would be incredibly handy for me, as I rarely check the Social Media pages until I am stood on the platform and see the delay. If you go on the Nexus website, it's under Metro then Travel Alerts I think. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Dan - 27 Aug 2015 (27 Aug 2015, 5:27 am)aureolin If you go on the Nexus website, it's under Metro then Travel Alerts I think. Cheers - I've signed up now. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - omnicity4659 - 27 Aug 2015 (27 Aug 2015, 6:22 am)Dan Cheers - I've signed up now. It never works though - it only works when they tell people about the 'good service' that they're running with two lines closed/suspended... It won't be long until they send emails at 0100 about their good service... RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - omnicity4659 - 28 Aug 2015 Severe delays to Metro passengers this morning http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/central-station-fire-alarms-cause-9944279 Central Station is closed and trains will not be stopping at this station until further notice. This is due to a fire alarm activation. Go North East are accepting Metro tickets on bus services all Go NE between Monument and Heworth. We're sorry for any inconvenience.
