The heating doesn't work either... Perfect place for penguins, hell for humans.

Alright for some
snowing just makes getting to work a nightmare. Roads blocked up by incompetent drivers.

Same as buses, some of them are like my old school classrooms, heating worked in the summer, air con in the winter...Was on an East Durham MPD in 2010 and it was colder on the bus than it was outside

A few flakes fell in Chester le Street around the time of your post 11.10 to 11.15 then the sun came out and cleared the heavy frost that occurred last night. I'm pleased the snow did stop as it gave me the opportunity to wait for some photos of 4901 on the back of the recovery truck.

This is simply because there is a live rainfall and lightning radar that updates every 10 - 15 minutes, so you will be able to know whether it will actually rain or not. It also includes detailed weather forecasts as well.

I use this website as the Met Office and BBC Weather is turning more and more inaccurate. For Example, they failed to point out a Thunderstorm last Thursday, but Netweather did.
I have the accuweather app.
Seems fairly decent and goes off the location settings from your phone.

And we're now under an amber wind warning until the morning.
Red warning for rain in the nw.
And the wear in Durham was close to its banks at 9:30. Won't be surprised if that floodsas the water comes down.

(04 Dec 2015, 11:48 pm)BusLoverMum They put out the warning for high sided vehicles not to cross about 5pm because gusts were already hitting 80mph and told people not to cross it at all for non-essential journeys. There's always numpties who ignore these warnings, though. (Even when the snow gates are down)
Despite signs saying that the A66 was closed to high sided vehicles, there was still some lorry's heading down the A66, on the opposite carriageway there was one off the road and had jack knifed on my way home from Blackpool this morning. Many of the fields in the Tebay and Kirkby Stephen area are flooded.
