Seems like a slightly odd move when they're not that old (comparatively). Are they being transferred elsewhere?

In fairness excluding the Omnicity's which are hanging on they're the oldest singles in the fleet and are non standard. There seems to be Solo's withdrawn aswell 2801 etc which have been off the road for months with nowhere really for them to go. Not sure if they're officially withdrawn though.

That seems like a great waste. They've  not been with arriva long. There worse buses that need withdrawing first

To my (layman) view it seems utterly insane - unless there is something wrong with the Centro bodywork, they are mechanically the same as ANE's Pulsar 2 fleet.

They haven't been withdrawn, they are mothballed due to the continued reduced PVR. They might not return, especially if some of the reductions become permanent - however at the moment they are not dead.

Could they not go to Ashington to see off 4664/53 plus a spare.

And what then takes their place at Stockton should the current service reductions end? I'm sure it was previously mentioned that 1408/11 would eventually replace the Omnicitys at Ashington, especially now the X16 has officially been withdrawn.

Didn't they replace 4661 - 4663 for the 685 instead. I don't believe there's been a PVR drop for full singles at Jesmond (excluding the X16) and they've gained nothing else unless there's something planned for them.

Agreed they shouldn't be at Ashington though.

Seen a few sapphire durham branded buses heading down the coast road towards newcastle. So far a couple of e400 and 1 pulsar. Possible transfer?

Have the omilinks been in service yet 760 is still at redcar not sure about the other two. Are they still destined for Darlington or are they staying in redcar

Destined for Darlington - Redcar have 760 to prep for MOT and service, once it’s ready it’ll go into service in Darlington with the other two

Does anyone actually know why arriva yorkshire 1910/12 never transferred to the NE as they should have became 7559/61

I might be not 100% right here but Arriva cancelled an order of Streetdeck's that were destined towards Yorkshire due to issues with the terms after Wright went bust and were bought over by Bamford.

As a result, buses that were meant to go elsewhere didn't happen, I'm assuming these are 2 of those. I believe there was a few more due.

There were 7 Arriva Sapphire spec street decks not delivered. Ensign Bus 161-167 are the vehicles in question.

So Arriva were actually investing in their fleet!

I don’t think it’s unreasonable that investment has been put on hold during the Pandemic and subsequent slow recovery.

Thank you, thought it was 7 just wasn't sure. Wasn't sure where they went in the end.

Yeah, they was a batch down South somewhere that got cancelled at the same time, Leicester way rings a bell for the LEZ which ended up being buses switched around to get past it instead. There was rumours for an order at Ashington aswell but that was rumours, nothing concrete on that.

They have made some investment in the last year as there's the 20 plate Tourismo's at Greenline which some are sitting around now since they cancelled half the routes and a batch of 71 plate Volvo B8RLE MCV Evora for Luton Airport. Not much but it's a start.

North West is now in the process of receiving delivery of StreetLite's and StreetDeck's too.

Didn't realise there was a batch down there aswell, be interesting to see if there's any more. In theory there should be offers on the table since no-one is buying anything lately.

According to Quack77, there seems to have been a number of Solos withdrawn very recently, 2810 from Blyth and 2815/18/23/38/39/50/51 from Durham, as well as 7484 withdrawn from Ashington. Does anyone know if these are end-of-life withdrawals, or just vehicles being held in reserve until the crowds return to public transport ?

2801/2802/2821 have also been withdrawn from Blyth, not sure what happened with the 2810 as it went to Ashington for a few days then got swapped out for 2816 instead so guess they didn't want it for some reason.

Ashington badly need some more (again) noticed the deckers are back out on the 57/57A since they're broken and 1800 is out on the 58.

1610 on loan to Belmont depot who are covering a 7 board (although the liklihood of a 7 turning up atm is still slim to none)

1411 has transferred to Ashington - tracking today on Bustimes as SP AN. Believe it is to replace one of the Scanias, assume another (1408 would be logical?) is to move soon to replace the other one.
