I thought the demo was a merc at first glance, it also looks smart.

Had a ride on it when it was at First York depot and with this being the electric version, it is very quiet, YouTube video link: https://youtu.be/ki-yQmAFCXw

Maybe not a fan of non-civic seating, but have to wait and see!If I remember correctly, the seats ain't great but mercifully not as bad as the ones in the diesel version, I think this only has around 38 seats, so journeys on the X66 could be rather busy if you are travelling on this.

To some extents, I don't like quiet buses, I can't seem to get away with the stop, start equipment on the recently delivered Arriva Sapphire StreetLite's at Darlington, even after about two months of having them on a regular basis. In terms of noise from passengers, I do like a quiet bus though.

The on/off of the hybrids did my head in. Mid-conversation, engine cuts out, everyone can now suddenly hear.

9084 is allocated to the 67/69
(06 Apr 2018, 7:51 am)Ianthegoon wrote Well, that's sorted 9083 and 9084. Thanks!
What about 9085 - is that still on GNE's books? I've spent some time on the X21 route with no sign of it, but I might just have been unlucky?
(06 Apr 2018, 8:09 am)S830OFT wrote 9085 has left the fleet ages ago. Fleet List just not updated.
(06 Apr 2018, 7:12 am)Dan wrote Shouldn't be allocated to Quaylink - at least not on paper - as this bus has an older Next Stop Announcement unit compared to the Quaylink buses and 5389 and 8328 (which were chosen as the two spares for Quaylink in fleet livery, in addition to branded Versa 8335).
(06 Apr 2018, 11:50 am)Rapidsnap wrote Will the demo be out on the X66 on the Sunday, just that's the only full day I have spare with in the next 10 days as my 2 other days off involve me going to Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
