Gotta love the air show shuttles. Something that GNE do really well. I remember having a conversation with Peter Huntley on openline a number of years ago about them not accepting BuzzFares, and not more than a couple of days later they decided to. That's what you call customer service.

(25 Jun 2014, 1:38 pm)missedbus Information about bus changes from 27th July now on GNE website, including the inevitable cancellation of the X3...
(I've gone under the parapet in search of a tin hat...)

It was just the X3 that was worthy of note, although that route stopped being useful some time ago.
There's a run timed to reach Newcastle Monday to Friday by 08:10; it's usually empty, and you'd expect there to be at least some business then. If that run can't make money, none of them will tbh.
(25 Jun 2014, 3:20 pm)Michael Tbh there's not many big changes, more timings than anything.
Oh dear i think the New TEN timetables will be confusing for some people!

(25 Jun 2014, 6:01 pm)Dan Changes which are mostly based on customer feedback and also to improve reliability, I must add.
I note that the PVR of the TEN increases with these changes, and I anticipate that 3942 could consequently re-gain "TEN" branding - this time closer to the version carried by the Volvo B9s. This is mere speculation though.

(25 Jun 2014, 7:31 pm)DaveyBowyer Why don't they just swap 6084 (TEN AND TTX SPARE), 6100 (TEN), 6101 (TEN AND TTX SPARE) and 6116 (TEN) with 3941(Fab56 Spare), 3942(Cobalt Spare), 3963(Cobalt Spare) and 3964(Fab 56 Spare)? Then repaint 6099 into Fab 56 Colours and 6116 into Cobalt Colours?

I've wondered whether or not the purchase of double decks have increased passenger numbers on the Cobalt Clipper. I know that it's still contending with "it's gans down the 'motorway'" crowd but I've noticed that alot more fares are being taken between Rake Lane and Blyth from stops betwen Newcastle and Station Road. The loads are also high between Newcastle and Battle Hill and both sides of Cobalt during peak times.

Quaylink bus stop relocated at Central Station - 2nd July
Date: 27 Jun 2014
The Quaylink Q1 bus stop at Newcastle Central Station will be relocated from Wednesday 2nd July 2014, to allow road realignment and pavement works to commence at the eastern end of the railway station portico.
From this date, Quaylink Q1 will no longer observe Stop J and will relocate to Stop D, which is located immediately west of the station portico and short-stay car park entrance.
