London Bus Operations
News, debate and discussion on London's Bus Operations.
As the NBFL has struck discussion in other parts of the forum, it seems appropriate to mention this one!
It appears that a NBFL was involved in a minor incident towards the end of last month.

(11 Aug 2013, 7:20 pm)aureolin Apparently these (LT41 - LT65) are for service 11. They should be out and about by the last week in September. After that, the next services to get them are supposed to be London United's service 9, and Metroline's service 390.

I'm down there for a couple of days towards the end of the last week in Sept. Going to try and do the same time permitting. Wouldn't mind a few photos out of the Metroline batch too. I often find it's just a case of finding somewhere to take pics in London without getting people angry.

(11 Aug 2013, 7:38 pm)Daniel I've already been warned about that one! First visit as a bus enthusiast, so it'll be all new to me. Have been down a few times before though, so it's not like it's completely foreign to me! :p

(11 Aug 2013, 7:49 pm)aureolin You're usually alright if you're with a group - you get the odd few drivers who will verbally challenge you if you're by yourself. I find what works best for me is taking photos in between stops when the bus is in motion. Takes driver challenges out of the equation.

(11 Aug 2013, 7:52 pm)Daniel I'm glad it takes driver challenges out of the equation in London... Certainly doesn't up here. Had some horrid experiences with drivers recently, with some stopping their vehicles at junctions to open their doors and question why I'm taking photos - demanding a reason and all. Guess it's a little harder to do that in London than it is in the rural setting of Kibblesworth or Lamesley though...

LT62 is believed to of suffered either brake failing or stuck throttle or possibly something else which unknown until the Bus is examined , LT62 apparently narrowly missed a car then it went into the back of WHY4 pushing into a car and 9401 Abellio e400. Just a little bit of info I picked up off the Photo of LT62.

(13 Oct 2013, 6:29 pm)Andreos1 Very lucky indeed.
Not 100% sure and could be totally wrong, but looks like the Tesco artic has flipped and the coach has ploughed into it.
