Following the transfer Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 649 (NL63 XZW) to Percy Main Depot to allow the fleet numbers of Percy Main's fleet liveried minibuses to be consecutive, this vehicle has transferred from Percy Main Depot to Deptford.
Following the transfer of Optare Solo SR M900/Optare 639 (NK12 HCF) to Deptford; this vehicle has moved into a float/reserve capacity at Deptford Depot, to cover for vehicles away for refurbishment at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn.
Having previously carried "Tyne Tees Xpress" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into Go North East's new corporate livery, carrying the tagline "Our buses run 35 million miles a year - that's like going to the moon and back 72 times"
Having previously carried "TEN" branding, this vehicle has been repainted into a dark green base livery. As part of ongoing improvements to services on the Tyne Valley, Go North East will re-brand its "TEN" 10/10A/10B/10X services as "Tyne Valley Ten" on a green base livery, moving away from the silver livery which the vehicles allocated to these services have carried since 2008. The new brand is designed to represent the picturesque Tyne Valley corridor and promotes the frequent buses to Metrocentre and Newcastle which the "TEN" group of services provide, up to every 10 minutes. This vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Slatyford Depot, though remains at Slatyford where it will form part of the depot's Driver Training fleet, following repaint into Stagecoach's Driver Training livery and completion of internal modifications to allow use within the training school.
Although originally intended to transfer to Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire following withdrawal, this vehicle has instead been reinstated at Slatyford Depot.
The West Indies return to Chester-le-Street for a hotly awaited rematch of the ICC World T20 Final when they face England on Saturday 16 September at Emirates Riverside. The sides will meet again following their thrilling final in April this year and it’s sure to be a fiery affair. To assist in the coverage of extra vehicle requirements for this event, which will see Go North East operating a large number of Park & Ride services, this vehicle has been reinstated at Riverside Depot.
Despite the commencement of the new academic year and the resultant PVR increase on service 1, this vehicle has not returned to service at Walkergate Depot. It has been released for cascade from South Shields Depot, though currently holds a reserve position within the fleet at Slatyford Depot.
This vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot and released for internal refurbished and repaint at Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. The extensive refurbishment work includes, but is not limited to, external repaint; deep cleaning of the interior of the vehicle; renewal of floor coverings; cleaning all seat frames and re-trimming seats into leather with USB sockets on the back of every seat; fitting blue accent lighting underneath seats to provide extra light on the gangway; and fitting Next Stop Announcements.
This vehicle has returned to Go North East following internal refurbishment and repaint into a plain orange base livery. It is currently undergoing preparation for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot prior to allocation to Hexham Depot. As part of ongoing improvements to services in Hexham, "Tynedalexpress" services X84/X85 will receive an upgraded Mercedes Citaro allocation, with the existing Scania L94UB/Wright Solar vehicles allocated to Hexham cascading to another route.
This vehicle has been stripped of "Angel" branding and has received a promotional livery for Go North East's "Big Days Out" campaign. The campaign, which was originally introduced in the summer of 2017 but will now be ongoing for the foreseeable future, has seen Go North East partner up with a number of attractions and businesses to bring its customers some great family offers. Customers who buy a £10 Family Day Ticket are eligible for discounts at venues involved in the partnership.
