Vehicle History

January 2024 Go North East Though still out of service, this vehicle has been reinstated. It is being prepared for MOT test in lieu of similar 6129 (GX03 SVD), which will instead be withdrawn from service.
September 2020 Go North East Following the transfer of Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid 5409 (NK15 ENY) from Consett Depot to Chester-le-Street, this vehicle has transferred from Chester-le-Street Depot to Riverside (although in reality it never entered service at Chester-le-Street as it was off service).
September 2020 Go North East The Scania N270UD/East Lancs OmniDekkas received from Brighton & Hove on loan will be allocated to the faith schools contract from Riverside. As such, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Chester-le-Street.
August 2020 Go North East The faith schools contract in operation from Riverside has re-commenced, therefore this vehicle has transferred from Chester-le-Street Depot to Riverside, in order to operate on said contract.
June 2020 Go North East Photograph by From Monday 1 June 2020, in line with guidance from the government, Go North East's bus services will start returning to what can be considered a 'normal' level of service on weekdays (albeit still reduced on weekends), also with some minor changes which had originally been planned to take place from 17 May 2020. As such, this vehicle has now been reinstated at Chester-le-Street.
April 2020 Go North East Following completion of all required vehicle re-allocations; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and has been officially delicensed (SORN'd), enabling Go North East to obtain a tax refund.
December 2019 Go North East Photograph by Having previously worn a plain black base livery; this vehicle has now been repainted into Go North East's 2019 fleet livery, and as a result has transferred from Saltmeadows Road Depot to Riverside, to resume its previous duties on the private scholars contract 850/851.
August 2019 Go North East Photograph by Ahead of the new academic school year, this vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Saltmeadows Road. This vehicle transfer is as a result of new contractual requirements for some of the Nexus Miscellaenous Works services for the 2019/20 academic year, now requiring a higher capacity, which Go North East's dual-door configuration buses do not meet.
July 2019 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Deptford, in order to operate a month-long Metro Replacement contract between South Shields and Chichester. No trains are currently running between these two platforms to allow for telecoms, platform and signalling upgrades in association with the new Sout Shields Interchange, due to re-open from Sunday 4 August.
July 2019 Go North East Photograph by With surplus double-decks now being available at Deptford due to the commencement of the school holidays, this vehicle has transferred from Deptford Depot back to Riverside.
April 2018 Go North East Photograph by Following completion of preparation for service; this vehicle has returned to service at Riverside Depot, for use on the private Jewish Scholars contract, replacing the elderly step-entrance Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 vehicles currently in this capacity at Riverside.
March 2018 Go North East Following the entry into service of the former Go-Ahead London General Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs at Stanley; this vehicle has been temporarily withdrawn from service at Stanley, and, ahead of allocation to Riverside Depot for the Jewish Scholars private contract, are undergoing removal of advertisement frames, all internal and external vinyls removed, tidy-up black repaint, and having their tachographs calibrated.
February 2018 Go North East This vehicle has had its seats re-trimmed into Go North East's standard blue 'Go' moquette.
May 2017 Go North East Photograph by Upcoming service changes in May will see the "Toon Link" brand encompass services 6, X30/X31 and X70/X71 with a mixed allocation of Scania OmniCitys and Scania OmniDekkas. This vehicle has consequently received "Toon Link" branding, following repaint.
April 2017 Go North East Photograph by Ahead of upcoming service changes in May, this vehicle has been repainted into a plain black base livery.
November 2016 Go North East Photograph by This vehicle has had its "Northern" branding removed, and hence now carries a plain red base livery with Go North East fleet names.
November 2015 Go North East This vehicle has received "Northern" branding, which is the new brand name for services 6 and X70/X71. As part of recent service changes, new service 6 was introduced as a replacement for the northern section of the old "Diamond" 43/44 services, so the name is appropriate for the route as well as commemorating the company's heritage with a fresh modern outlook on the "Northern" name.
June 2015 Go North East This vehicle has now entered service at Stanley Depot.
May 2015 Go North East This vehicle has been repainted from Brighton & Hove's corporate livery into Go North East's corporate livery.
May 2015 Go North East Go North East has acquired a number of Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka vehicles from sister Go-Ahead operating company Brighton & Hove, following the entry into service of new vehicles. This vehicle, previously numbered 610 within the Brighton & Hove fleet, has now arrived at Saltmeadows Road and is undergoing preparation for service within the Go North East fleet.
