RE: Go North East Service Suggestions - Andreos1 - 06 Jan 2014

(06 Jan 2014, 10:54 pm)legend I'm afraid being in my senior years I doubt I know the students in question and whom we certainly shan't be naming.

Actually we use the minibus for two reasons.
  • The timings of the 28
  • The location of Ouston, outside of Tyne & Wear. They would have to use a 'Key' card.

You certainly won't hear his name from me.
Not the time or place. Quite surprised you mentioned the other bits.

Anyway...

That makes sense.
Was trying to work out the timings from Ouston (on the hour and half past) and couldn't remember which was which (28/28a).
Wasn't aware of the bus stop issues either.

I take it Adam was correct when he said it was a school minibus which works it?
Saves me asking in the morning!

Whilst the kids (and parents) are obviously appreciative of the school going above and beyond, by organising their transport - the fact the price of the key tickets, was one of the factors in doing so, is quite an eyeopener!

Is the 29A doing the full route to heworth don't know why it can't be the 26 make it a full route

Not sure yet, timetables still not online, should be in the next few days though, think they changed the 26/26A to 29/29A because of the 39... so it would be the 29 and 39 to doxford park.

I would imagine it would do the full route - half hourly so it would be every 15 mins from park lane to doxford park, maybe interwork at doxford park

RE: Go North East Service Suggestions - speedwheels22 - 06 Jan 2014

Be great if they brung the black cats brand back but update it I think. The 29,29A 39 should be in the same brand if the 29 gets one

29 isn't going to be branded. 39 will be Simplicity as, I guess, will the 29A on evenings and Sundays.

RE: Go North East Service Suggestions - speedwheels22 - 06 Jan 2014

Will the 9 be branded and what buses will they use

Ye the 29A is just doing the same route and times as the 26A - expecting it to be versa's.

29 Northern scanias
39 Simplicity versa
X36 Fast cats (using 5205-5209)

But like I keep saying on here Michael seems pointless 29A running full route as this would duplicate stagecoach 39 on evenings to Doxford park

It's Solars according to the timetable, but I guess we'll have to wait and see?

RE: Go North East Service Suggestions - Malarkey - 08 Jan 2014

311 - Cramlington - Seaton Delaval - Holywell - Northumberland Park - Cobalt - Battle Hill Drive - Coast Road - Newcastle – Every 20 Minutes

Newcastle to Cobalt – 24 Minutes
Cobalt to Cramlington – 32 Minutes
Total = 56 Minutes

The Competition – Journey Times Between Newcastle and Cramlington

Arriva 43 = 37 Minutes
Arriva 52 = 46 Minutes
Arriva X5 = 67 Minutes - 72 Minutes (Peak Times)
Arriva X10/X11 = 27 Minutes
Arriva X13 = 53 Minutes

I think a wise move would be to go Head2Head with the Arriva 52, but on an Increased Frequency of Every 20 Minutes as Stated Above

X10 or X11 isn't 55 minutes, the X5 isn't 72 mins, I can tell you that for a fact ;-)

X5 is 67 minutes daytime, X10/X11 is 54 minutes, so he is pretty close with 55 Tongue

Yeah That's Correct, With X5 I noted the 7am Departure from Blyth which takes 72 Minutes, and I have most likely done the same with the others also, My Bad

55 from Newcastle to Cramlington on the X10/X11? It's only about 25. It says ''journey times from Cramlington to Newcastle''?
