Latest grant funding awarded to make Scotland’s bus fleet greener

Three key operators will add 46 low carbon emission buses

“Scotland’s bus fleet is going greener thanks to the latest Scottish Green Bus Fund” said Humza Yousaf, Transport Minister today (4 October).

Speaking at the CPT Conference in Cameron House Hotel, Loch Lomond today, the Minister announced this latest round of SGBF funding worth around £2 million.

Since it was first introduced, the SGBF has supported the purchase of 269 low carbon emission buses across Scotland. This latest round will see 46 new low emission buses

"introduced by three key operators: First Scotland East, Lothian Buses and Stagecoach East Scotland."

January I believe has been said. Hence a bit of a shock that the Chesterfield examples were allocated fleetnumbers after Slatyford's when they were due before them..... It makes sense to someone (I hope)

Probably as the later ones were Scarborough built the gap will be filled by Falkirk i'd say

Hmmmmm that's strange, I wonder where the scania are going if they're going anywhere that is! And I wonder when there honing to paint them? Also I think replacing a scania that's only 4 years old with a ADL is a massive mistake, the sooner stagecoach and scania sort out their problems the better!

I haven't heard anything yet regarding the Aldershot Gold E400MMC's, but I'd imagine they'll be ready fairly soon as the Cheltenham one's are currently in the process of being delivered - the first one (SN66VXU) arrived at Cheltenham a few days ago.

Aldershot gold MMC's have already started arriving!! 10761 has been delivered on Thursday! I believe 10762 came then too, 10763 was supposed to have arrived yesterday, there is 1 due for delivery everyday for the next 3 weeks (weekday deliveries only) so 15 more buses to be delivered for the next 15 weekdays, there is a pic on Flickr of 10764 at Falkirk on test run due for delivery in Monday! Seen a pic of 10761 at Aldershot depot!!

They've been having some seating and window modifications. All 30 have now been branded and are still destined for service at Ashford sometime in December or January, those at Eastbourne are only there for storage purposes as Ashford does not have the space at the moment.
