RE: Phoenix Coaches - gtom - 18 Nov 2013 (18 Nov 2013, 4:25 pm)GuyParkRoyal Phoenix are using a very tidy Optare Solo M1020 in Phoenix livery with registration NJ11EXJ on the 23. Very smart. Not in battleship grey?! RE: Phoenix Coaches - GuyParkRoyal - 18 Nov 2013 (18 Nov 2013, 5:57 pm)gtomlinson Very smart. Not in battleship grey?! Wrong colour but a bus with a destination blind on the 11.24 from Barley Mow is a refreshing change. RE: Phoenix Coaches - gtom - 18 Nov 2013 (18 Nov 2013, 6:29 pm)GuyParkRoyal Wrong colour but a bus with a destination blind on the 11.24 from Barley Mow is a refreshing change. Very true! Compass will not be missed RE: Phoenix Coaches - tyresmoke - 20 Nov 2013 Mercedes Cheetah XUO354 now wearing the new livery I notice... Saw it heading around the Eighton Lodge roundabout yesterday - it seemed long! Is it a long wheelbased Solo? RE: Phoenix Coaches - GuyParkRoyal - 21 Nov 2013 [quote='andreos1' pid='20589' dateline='1384987698'] Saw it heading around the Eighton Lodge roundabout yesterday - it seemed long! Is it a long wheelbased Solo? [/quote It is the long (M1020) version of the Solo and does stand out from other Solo's that you normally see due to its long body. RE: Phoenix Coaches - gtom - 21 Nov 2013 I was at a Community Event in Barley Mow this morning and have heard nothing but absolute praise for Phoenix and the helpfulness and attitude of their drivers. I've encouraged the people I spoke to, to contact Nexus as they were very quick to complain about Compass, credit where credit is due RE: Phoenix Coaches - Tom - 21 Nov 2013 (21 Nov 2013, 1:09 pm)gtomlinson I was at a Community Event in Barley Mow this morning and have heard nothing but absolute praise for Phoenix and the helpfulness and attitude of their drivers. RE: Phoenix Coaches - Malarkey - 21 Nov 2013 (21 Nov 2013, 4:02 pm)Tom The driver I get on the 333 if I use it is a very friendly driver! - When you get on you always get a ''Good Afternoon'' or a ''Hi'' and the vehicles are spotless, very clean and comfortable! - Phoenix are one of the best independent companies in the North East, I think! I caught a Photo of the Solong Today at The Galleries on the 12:15pm Departure and there were 11 Passengers on in Total and probs would of picked up a few more at Sainsbury's. Must bare in mind they were all OAP's. RE: Phoenix Coaches - gtom - 21 Nov 2013 One of my colleagues has posted on the Nexus forum this afternoon and got a response thanking him for his praise How do they work the dead mileage to Barley Mow though? Saying that Stanley must run dead for 7 miles from Stanley to Birtley but its incomparable to Phoenix 27 miles out from Blyth to Barley Mow RE: Phoenix Coaches - Tom - 21 Nov 2013 (21 Nov 2013, 5:55 pm)gtomlinson One of my colleagues has posted on the Nexus forum this afternoon and got a response thanking him for his praise It'll go to North Shields for the 19, still a vast amount of dead mileage though! RE: Phoenix Coaches - JakeSavage - 21 Nov 2013 (21 Nov 2013, 4:02 pm)Tom The driver I get on the 333 if I use it is a very friendly driver! - When you get on you always get a ''Good Afternoon'' or a ''Hi'' and the vehicles are spotless, very clean and comfortable! - Phoenix are one of the best independent companies in the North East, I think! I'd second that praise about the 333 driver - there's a lot to be said for a regular, and motivated, driver: knows his customers, delivers good service. RE: Phoenix Coaches - tyresmoke - 03 Dec 2013 Phoenix will be providing 4 buses on Nexus contract work on Boxing Day 2013. RE: Phoenix Coaches - Tom - 03 Dec 2013 (03 Dec 2013, 4:57 pm)tyresmoke Phoenix will be providing 4 buses on Nexus contract work on Boxing Day 2013. Any idea what services? RE: Phoenix Coaches - tyresmoke - 03 Dec 2013 (03 Dec 2013, 5:10 pm)Tom Any idea what services? 53A and 1 I think it is? RE: Phoenix Coaches - Dan - 03 Dec 2013 (03 Dec 2013, 5:19 pm)tyresmoke 53A and 1 I think it is? Definitely did the 53A last year. Was unsure of the other service, but VOSA should reveal all soon. RE: Phoenix Coaches - tyresmoke - 03 Dec 2013 Service 1 between North Shields Ferry and Whitley Bay Service 53 between North Shields Town and Cramlington RE: Phoenix Coaches - Andreos1 - 03 Dec 2013 Slightly off topic, but they got a mention this morning for some PR stunt being carried out at Nissan today. Apparently Pheonix have a small fleet of battery powered cars in operation. RE: Phoenix Coaches - tyresmoke - 17 Jan 2014 Surprised no-one has mentioned this yet, but a new Optare Solo at Phoenix is KX53SCZ Also, Ashington service A2 and Blyth service B1 will no longer operate after 2nd February. RE: Phoenix Coaches - Andreos1 - 29 Jan 2014 http://www.thejournal.co.uk/business/commercial-property/phoenix-taxis-100000-cash-injection-6641346 Pheonix have donated £100k to a local community project in Blyth. |
