It looks as if Howard Snaith have been adding to their bus fleet.

Firstly, they've acquired National Express West Midlands' Volvo B7RLE chassised MCV Evolution trial bus. Image is on the below link, courtesy of North East and Regional Bus Photos.

I believe they are both demonstration vehicles. The MCV bodied one has been round a number of operators.

Quite wrong, Howard Snaith have a number of services in and around the oTterburn and Hexham areas, as well as some school routes registered commercially.

I meant in Tyne & Wear. When I set up all of the other operator threads, I looked at Nexus' website, and Nexus only list the services in Tyne & Wear.
Hadn't really expected the thread to grow (as with all others) to include information from outside of Tyne & Wear!

Might want to update post to say that. Howard Snaith are based primarilly in Northumberland, although one of the schools services registered commercially goes to St Thomas Moore in Blaydon, and I am sure there is also an X83 Newcastle to Hexham service.

I think most will appreciate how much North East Buses has grown in the past year. I'm confident in saying most of our users would have been from Tyne & Wear back in September 2012, when this thread was created.
Any discussion is of course welcome now, as we've grown to be such a large community.

They also run a Wednesday only service 79 from Newcastle Airport to Morpeth via Ponteland and Whalton, usually (?) with a Vario.

Apologies if my previous post didn't sound like I appreciated the website. I do appreciate this website, it has helped me to improve my knowledge of buses, as well as corect entries on my own website. I will try and mention all users that provide info that I use on my site. I appreciate that sometimes keeping a large website up to date can be difficult (I have had many of my own websites covering various topics in the past).

The Dilston Shuttle runs from Dilston bridge to Hexham (or Corbridge) then to Corbridge (or Hexham) then to Dilston bridge.

In other words it does a round trip through Corbridge and Hexham to either side of Dilston bridge - and it's all free!

So you can travel (hourly) between Hexham and Corbridge (and vice versa) for nowt!

Just been informed by the Head of German at my school that they've chosen Howard Snaiths for both the trip to both France and Germany, looking forward to c.15 hours on one!

A nearby school has Howard Snaiths as their school trip transport, I should be able to get a list together of the fleet, just incase if you're missing some.

Trial now in progress, early report in Hexham Courant - cannot find up-to-date online version.
