I believe there's a simple way people wanting to whizz down the bus lanes can get away with it - get on a bus!

Theres something on the theme today in Manchester
http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/n...B-MEN-main
Essentially the MP suggests bus lanes should be abolished and the city traffic would move better - ha!

How on Earth they can suggest a bus carrying up to 90 passengers should have less priority than a line of cars consisting of maybe 15 people is ludicrous. Selfishness in the highest order, and I'm a motorist!

City centre congestion should be alleviated with a well managed park and ride and incentives for car-sharing

It's the same logic as people going on about how polluting buses are. Yes, there's a single vehicle carrying, potentially, several dozen people. Definitely no more polluting, per head, than a single person in their 5l Chelsea tractor. And even 30 people on a bus creates much less congestion (and pollution) than 15 people in, say 15 cars, of any size.

I find many of the anti-bus lobby, such as the comments underneath the news articles above, act as if buses run around the streets empty and intentionality block up roads. It's a selfish attitude, they forget buses carry real people. People they should be thankful too as if bus passengers chose to drive instead there would be even more traffic jams

Here's another camera that doesn't appear too popular.
