(08 Jul 2020, 6:23 pm)Stanleyone Dont think they'd want a coach sitting around as I'm sure the coaches will cope much better than the current B5s, maybe keep a B5 as spare. Wonder if 4 of the current X9/X10 buses will end up on X5/X15?

The previous plans was for them to go on the X84/X85 but that could of changed due to the 9 Streetdecks going elsewhere.

-----

Wonder what fleet numbers they'll get?, will they follow the current coach set numbers but as 7200-7206?

Guessing there will be some changes to the route as I can't see these fitting in Eldon Square unless I'm wrong?

The removal of the X9/X10 services from Eldon Square Bus Station will be the only change to the route.

Tri-axle vehicles, albeit not quite as long, have been tested on the whole route and there aren't any other issues.

With some re-allocating of stands I imagine they'd be fine on another stand, even the drop off stand, it's only once every half hour.
Middlesbrough will similarly be an issue with the current stand but again could be moved.

Will it start from the stop used by the 21 on newgate street?

(08 Jul 2020, 5:49 pm)Dan Coaches 72 - 78 in Oxford's fleet. New March 2015.

All have now been re-registered (OW15 Wxx) prior to transfer north.

When will they transfer north?

Just asking because they need repainting/checked over and then drivers to be trained on them.

For training, will a selected number of drivers be trained for them or will most drivers at Riverside be trained on them?

Think they have a separate rota, I wonder if it'll go back to 1 full route and EU rules like it was before the split.
Just watched tonight's update on depot fb page.

I would imagine it'll be done at an external company as with most major refurbishment programmes - especially with them not being based in the NE so Saltmeadows isn't really an option.

Could they not just transfer up for a repaint at Saltmeadows, as that's the only thing they need doing.

(08 Jul 2020, 6:17 pm)Michael Go for it!!

It's going be interesting to see how they'll do the X-Lines brand on them.

Not my finest work, and I'm sure I've got the colours slightly wrong, but you get the idea

(08 Jul 2020, 6:13 pm)streetdeckfan Do we have any interior pictures? Had a quick look about but couldn't see any

Might do a quick photoshop, see what the X-Lines livery would look like on them (presumably they'll keep the same style!)

It looks plain but i would imagine they'll add the route and hopefully the frequency on the sides and back.

Please no adverts, even if it does go down the A19

Yeah, I'd imagine they'd have the silhouette and stuff, but I wasn't putting that much effort in!

With these being a unique vehicle type, would a return to the "Tyne Tees Xpress" brand not be a good move?

Similar livery to "X-Lines" perhaps but more tailored to a coach operation.

To be fair, GoNE haven't got a bad deal with these in turn for losing the extra StreetDecks to Oxford.

100%, and they're only 2 short of their original order now.
