Jet2 have leased G-POWI from Titan for this summer at Newcastle, supposedly it's covering for a 733 which has not been is condition as expected after purchase from last operator. It's a wet lease so the crews on it will be Titan too. It has been liveried though however extremely basic with white body below red lettering. Should be interesting to see if Jet2 also use this as a trial run for Airbus overall as so far they operate an all Boeing fleet of 733/QC/F , 738 and 752s!!!
Thanks for sharing this!

I've always been fond of Jet2's operations, and as you say will certainly be interesting if this possibly results in any future orders with Airbus. I'd be very surprised if Jet2 weren't taking the opportunity to trial this during the lease.

LS will wet lease a 168 seater A320, registration G-POWI, between the 8th May and 15th September from STN based Titan Airways. The aircraft will have basic LS decals applied prior to entering service and will be crewed by Titan for the duration of the lease. The A320 was only delivered to Titan less than 3 weeks ago and only entered revenue service a week ago."
(13 May 2013, 9:09 pm)Andreos1 Why the quiet day on a Tuesday? Planes aint really my thing - so dont really understand the lack of apparent lack balance in their rotas.
One of my brothers loves them and is an active member of pprune.

(21 Aug 2013, 12:48 pm)tyresmoke Jet2 today launched short break flights to New York and Toronto in April. These will presumably be operated by the 757 fleet.

(21 Aug 2013, 6:15 pm)the pilot Flights are to be operated by G-LSAB, G-LSAC, G-LSAE, G-LSAK, or G-LSAN as they are the only aircraft equipped with ETOPS.
That flight has to be hell!

(27 Sep 2013, 3:22 pm)GuyParkRoyal Some of those aircraft must be getting on for 25 years old now (even older than a Waggonway DAF).

Probably worth mentioning here that Jet2 have lost the contract to fly the Royal Mail Skynet route to Stansted, it will be operated by West Atlantic from January. They retained the East Midlands route.

Anyone know what the summer 15/16 rotations and aircraft type being used from NCL are. Looks like 2 738s are already being used but not sure if 757 or 733 are additional a/c
Aircraft flown on:
744, 77W, 772, E145, E190, E170, E175, E195, A319, A320, A320NEO, A321, A321NEO, A330-200, A330-300, A340-600 763, 752, 733, 737, 738, CRJ900, CRJ1000
Favourite aircraft: G-STBL/G-ZBKL

Nice to see them fork out for some new machines. Presumably using up freed up slots on the NG production line before the MAX line is up and running properly.

I do wonder what will happen to the aircraft that run the Royal Mail contract overnight - this is a high value part of their business still which cannot be served with 737-800's. Unless they can work with Boeing to develop a QC version of the -800.

(27 Jan 2016, 8:47 pm)NK53 TKT I'm off Jet2 on Saturday to Chambery and I believe one of their Boeing 737-300s has had a technical fault meaning I may get a 737-800 or better still a 757!
