Upcoming Repaints
So it seems there will need to be atleast 3-4 Graphite Painting
61 needs to be painted/de-branded (wonder what going to operate these)
I think 1-2 Little Pinks will be getting re-branded
20 needs re-painting
60 needs repainting (not a new livery, just a refurb and a paint job)
(03 Jul 2022, 8:44 pm)Unber43 So it seems there will need to be atleast 3-4 Graphite PaintingIf the 61 still require 4 buses. I can just see them doing a cheap job and debrand the front part of violet and doing it for Blue. But the fact the changes just said 61&New61A makes me thing blue has been dropped

(03 Jul 2022, 9:21 pm)Storx There's no need for the Merc's, there's 31 Streetlites for a PVR of 27 on the 5, 9, 20, 24 and 26. I can imagine the 8xxx Streetlite's will end up on the 61 with the Citaro's being turned into coke cans.Yeah he is.
He's guessing and writing it as facts. The Enviro 400 MMC's could end up anywhere, the 6 being an option either or some random unexpected route.

But no other services match the PVR for 6x E400MMC.

(03 Jul 2022, 9:09 pm)Aaron21 So basically Red Kite Ranger B9 was a waste of timeNot at the time but things have changed now. If newer and more fuel efficient vehicles are available, GNE will utilise them and the B9TLs would still play an inportant role at Riverside.

Only other option asides from the 47 would be GNE holding onto them incase there's a business case for a return of the X9 which I doubt.

(03 Jul 2022, 10:14 pm)Storx The stands seem to be wrong, everything leaves from B or D so not sure they're 100% right.Unless the short 6 journeys ex Stanley will drop onto the 12?
I was just thinking Riverside to give some support for the X10. Arguably it would be better to swap them round rather than having 4 getting hit hard on the X10 daily plus you've already got the 2 spares there which could make up some PVR for something if needed. The random route I was thinking was something like the 58, it used to be a route which always got newer buses on but it's got outdated ex London B9 stock on atm and it's a number short aswell.
Who knows though.

(04 Jul 2022, 11:06 am)KingSlayerRBLX That is pointless.X30, X31 and X45 will all interwork. This means every bus on these boards will need to go under Ellison Road bridge in Dunston, which is marked as 14'3". The MMCs fit, but the Streetdecks don't AFAIK, which is why there would have to be a swap.
Streetdecks and MMC's dont need to swap on the X70/71/72 cause its the same spec. Plus sending 'Premium' on a route that is ran by B9TL's would be a too much big of an upgrade for a route that doesnt need them, yes the X-Lines MMC's can appear as spare but do not need to be a full allocation.

The MMCs fit, but the Streetdecks don't AFAIK, which is why there would have to be a swap.but you have 14x MMC's in the Green livery so take off the 5 that are currently on the X30/X31 so that leaves 9 MMC's but there is 8x Green Streetdecks. So the PVR according to this is gonna increase by 1 and the X70/X71/X72 PVR will drop by 1.

Again it would be a pointless change plus i dont think they will all interwork cause it wouldn't work
(04 Jul 2022, 1:22 pm)Drifter60 What’s the reasoning behind the X45 interworking with the X30/X31? To allow driver change overs to happen at Hownsgill?

(04 Jul 2022, 1:39 pm)Storx The PVR of the X45 is 5, the PVR of the X30/X31 is 3X30/X31 and X45 will interwork as they arrive onto Stand D ex Consett off the X45 and Stand B ex Stanley off the X30/X31.
The PVR of the X70/X71/X72 is 7
There's not enough Enviro 400 MMC's unless they shifted the 2 spares from Riverside across and in turn shifted all the Streetdeck's to Riverside or elsewhere with 6377 being the spare for the X10. It wouldn't be the worst idea in the world tbh for fleet standardisation.
Pretty much, they used to interwork with the X70/X71/X72 but since the frequency decrease 20 mins vs 30 mins it wouldn't work anymore.

Having used the 47/47A on a number of occasions in recent months it doesn't warrant the use of a Double Decker during the day, A Streetlite would be more suitable allocation moving forward in my opinion.
The B9's would take a spare role in the fleet where needed and i'd have the E400MMC's go onto the 57 or 58 depending on which gets the Yutong E12's when they arrive.

(04 Jul 2022, 7:32 pm)L469 YVK - There's not enough E400MMC (including 6336-37) leftover to fill the PVR of either the 57 or 58 and provide adequate spare 'low bridge' cover at Consett for a PVR of 8x (X30/X31/X45).That's why I still question the removal of the Euro 6 Omnicities, as they would be perfect to spread amongst depots such as Consett, Deptford, Riverside, PM and Washington as dedicated spares for Newcastle services.
- There's not enough E400MMC (including 6336-37) leftover to fill the PVR of the X70/X71/X72 and provide adequate spare 'low bridge' cover at Consett for a PVR of 8x (X30/X31/X45).
Once upon a time and with single deckers to fall back on, a spare ratio of 1:8 would be fine for the X30/X31/X45. But with the CAZ due to come into force and no single deck Euro 6 vehicles at Consett (only option if no low height E400MMC available), GNE need to have more robust cover.
Anyways, the 47 had always been a fairly strong route and with a common headway reduction with the X45 from every 10 mins to every 15 mins, deckers will be fine on the 47.
