(26 Feb 2024, 9:08 am)mb134 Drivers are trained to stop letting passengers on at a certain point, and there's a legal limit per vehicle of how many they can carry. So that they're not stranding people at bus stops, they'll take as many as they deem safe to carry (within the legal limit).

(26 Feb 2024, 8:59 pm)Unber43 Is it worth all the aggravation?
Aye & the whinging punters would be falling over themsels (nee pun intended) to sue someone if the driver had to slam on & they nut the windscreen cos they’re stood too far forward!

(26 Feb 2024, 11:05 am)Ambassador However I've noticed they seem to have entirely stopped enforcing no standing on the stairs or upper deck

(26 Feb 2024, 10:27 pm)mb134 Which is mental given that it alters the centre of gravity, and if there's a load stood upstairs and the driver takes a bend a bit too hard...
A few annoyed (likely drunk) passengers is nothing in comparison to what could happen if there were too many stood upstairs.
Handbrake on, engine off, they'll soon get the message to shift downstairs.

Are they going to remove the interior vinyls showcasing the loop from the elite driver nonsense at any point?
Legal lettering WRONG! on 6351. I believe Queen Street is now closed. Might complain to the Traffic Commissioner to this unforgivable wrongdoing. It has really ruined my travelling experience for me. Absolute shysters.

6321 expired earlier today and is sitting blocking Eldon Square stand G. Buses competing at rush hour for a space.
Stand is closed off with a notice from nexus saying look out for a 21 pulling into any other stand
(26 Feb 2024, 9:05 am)Storx In fairness, not letting passengers on is MUCH WORSE than someone being a little bit uncomfortable. People might be using that bus for work, that's much worse than someone having too little space for 10 minutes especially when it's every 30 minutes.
I can tell you've never been on the Tube at peak hours, now that is uncomfortable.

(07 Mar 2024, 7:44 pm)col87 Not sure I completely agree what if someone has a panic and it causes a medical emergency, yes not nice for anyone then. I don’t live in the area but even I know that solos should never ever be used on the 50.

(07 Mar 2024, 9:34 pm)Storx I get that argument but the counter is, you could leave someone out in the cold who needs to go to a vital hospital appointment etc.
Of course, the Solo's should be no-where near the 50 either mind.

Today has been an utter shambles on the angel with numerous breakdowns and huge gaps
I caught a 21 from Chester to town…it took over 1hr 15. We changed drivers at Gateshead and he queried why the bus was so busy or late.
Our driver joked well I’m the only angel shed that hasn’t broken down today
Anyone know which streetlite was being towed from the galleries about half one.
Forgot to mention that 6356 looked forlorn on Tuesday when I passed it at Dunston.
It's wingmirrors looked intact. So that's a good sign.
Checking bustimes, it hadn't been tracking for a week until Wednesday, so someone worked miracles overnight on Tuesday.
It was back in the depot and a wrecker hadn't long left Riverside so putting 6 and 6 together, I get 12 and a broken down bus.
Just had to get a bus after dropping car off for MOT, first time in 5 years and I have to say 6148 shouldn’t be anywhere near frontline service.
Interior is a disgrace, it was very dirty and the less I say about the smell the better.
Whilst this bus is more than likely being withdrawn in the coming months, it should still be cleaned at least.
