According to bustimes and the GNE app, 6116 is on the Tyne Valley Tens. This is untrue as I checked it yesterday as it passes where I live and it was 6081, someone has the wrong number on the ticket machine.

To be expected I guess I think passengers will happily get in a Ford fiesta if it has 21 on the front of it at this stage

I've seen it twice today and it's almost running like a dupe with a double deck alongside it which has had a healthy load.
More likely the ever present regulation issues with the Angel which are constantly exacerbated by Durham Road, the A1 and the Birtley Cycle Lane construction
Do agree that some services do seem lighter than normal but that could also be a wider economy piece!
