I notice today, and the last day or so, the 685 is now 2 singles from Slatyford.

Am I right in assuming the E400MMCs were. or are, used on (1) Northern strike/no service days and (2) GNE strike days?

As if using E300s on double deck routes isn’t bad enough last week 38 has had an E200 allocated to it!

The E200's are basically like putting a solo on though. The only routes which require buses that small is 32/32A, 35 & 317 - oh wait the contracts...
It's like putting a solo on the Angel 21 after there has been major delays and overcrowding at stops never mind on the actual bus.

Wondering if they're gonna for any E100 EVs?
That would put the cat among the pigeons on the 62!

Is there actually much capacity difference between an Enviro 200 and Enviro 300 with Stagecoach, if I'm right Stagecoach's E200's are 10.8m long?

I’ve wondered this as well they seem very similar in length especially the ones that came from Stockton the MANE300s seem longer

There isn't much. Can't remember off the top of my head exactly so these may be slightly off, but I'm pretty sure a gasbus is certified to hold 70 (seated and standing), our 36000s will hold about 67 and 39000s hold 64 iirc. Deckers hold 94.

Your're right, the E200's are 10.8m. I believe the MAN's to be 3cm longer than the E300's

Yeah had a feeling that was the case, other than the Hartlepool pit issues. I always wondered what the point is as the size is neglible. Can't imagine capacity wise, it must be much different - 4 or 6 seats, without counting at all? Assume there must be something else to it as I can't see many places where a full size single can get around where a 10.8m can, it's not like were talking about MPD's or 9.5m Solo's etc.

Thanks for that, had a feeling it would be neglible.

Btw what's that baggage about? Are customers only meant to bring 20KG of stuff each on an Enviro 200? Never seen that on any bus before and not sure how it would exactly be enforceable unless there's a secret set of scales, I never knew about.

I don't know either. It's only on a few buses - suspiciously ones that have transferred from other depots.

Strange, just had a little research and the only mention of baggage limits of 20KG is on coaches. Wonder if they just found some spare and just thought buggar it.

True on the standing, who knows. The logic puzzle one on the E300 is the type I'm used to where it's virtually impossible to read as there's so many or's. Never realised neater ones we're made tbh (don't use SNE).

That one seems particular bad and looks like whoever was putting it up got confused aswell as it jumps from the number being after the type to the number before the type twice.
