After this Year Investment will there be any Deckers Available (ALX400 or E400), As I think the E1/E2 and E6 could do with Double Deckers, The E1 I got on from Roker to Shields Yesterday was Rammed, And it took Several Minutes for Passengers to get on and off at Various Stops along the Route.

Totally agree. I believe even their own inspector has told them so. If it was Newcastle they would have double deckers on but they don't give a toss about down here.

The E1 is the most popular of the three and is usually jam-packed heading out of the city centre. The E2 is also regularly jam-packed, and this is the service that regularly runs late - causing a knock-on effect to the E1 and E6. However, the E6 is the quietest of the three if it is running to schedule, as I have never noticed any issue with capacity on this route.

Stagecoach should invest in some E400MMC's for these services to avoid having issues with capacity in the future; and if this did happen, it would be great if they were delivered in "Economic" livery with free WiFi as well as phone charging plug/USB sockets to further increase the popularity of the services.

However, I think most of the Ex-London ALX400s will be spread about to allow the withdrawal of all the Volvo/Leyland Olympians, including any other non-DDA decker's, across all of the Stagecoach Fleets.

I'm not a regular user of the Economics as I live in Washington, but when I have used i.e. Yesterday, and in the Past to get to/from the Airshow or Seaburn Bus Rally they have been packed. It doesn't take a Genius to realize that those Services could do with an Upgrade.

I don't think the Economic services warrant double deckers, doesn't seem that long ago when their were operated by double deckers and due to low patronage their started to use single deckers, the service only warrant double deckers only on special occasions and even then Stagecoach probably wont as their would know that every seat will be taken and the service between sunderland and south shields is every 5 minutes? and the section between Marsden roundabout and South Shields is duplicated by service 7 and 8.

Any spare low floor deckers freed up from this year's order will be used to reduce the Olympian fleet.

Delaine Buses are somewhat renowned for being one of the bus companies who always seem to have the first bus that's a 12-reg, 14-reg, etc...

They just have to wait until these regs kick in, and it'll be the same with these Enviros as you point out.

Does anyone know if there's anything additional for South East? I find it odd that there's only ten 'deckers coming here (unconfirmed) when we still have over sixty Olympians and over twenty B10M's. Or are we to benefit from cascades?
