RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion-February 2018 - Cock Robin - 03 Feb 2018 (01 Feb 2018, 9:58 pm)Multi21 When Darlington have a suitable number of drivers signed off on them. 170 drivers with 2 buses that are taxed. 15-20 Minutes per familiarisation. My guess would be same week as Stockton service changes W/C 18th Feb Are they much different to drive to the existing Streetlites? (02 Feb 2018, 6:30 pm)omnicity4659 Was never planned to be incorporated, the liveries on paper look really smart...before they got edited! Certainly looks better than the new standard livery. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - NewcastleOne - 03 Feb 2018 Bit of an update for new Streetlites 1602-NK67EDF(Docks) 1603-NK67EDJ(Docks) 1604-NK67EDL 1605-NK67EDO 1606-NK67EDP ?-NK67EDV (Possibly 1607)(in North East) ?-NK67EDX (possibly 1608)(Docks) ?-NK67EEA (possibly 1609)(Docks) 1604,1605,1606 all been delivered got its branding for 1/5/5A RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - upt50k - 03 Feb 2018 (03 Feb 2018, 6:42 pm)NewcastleOne Bit of an update for new StreetlitesDoes any member of this forum have a picture of the R reg darts that Darlington received new that carried 1600 fleet numbers that were later exchanged with Liverpool and North Wales I remember seeing them parked up in Feethams before entering service. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Kuyoyo - 04 Feb 2018 1415 and 1441 working rail replacements between Middlesbrough and Whitby RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Cock Robin - 04 Feb 2018 (03 Feb 2018, 6:53 pm)upt50k Does any member of this forum have a picture of the R reg darts that Darlington received new that carried 1600 fleet numbers that were later exchanged with Liverpool and North Wales I remember seeing them parked up in Feethams before entering service. Yes I remember that. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Multi21 - 05 Feb 2018 (04 Feb 2018, 12:48 pm)Kuyoyo 1415 and 1441 working rail replacements between Middlesbrough and Whitby 1441 actually broke down on its last run and was replaced by a Frequenta pulsar 1454 I believe. In answer to Cock Robins questions. They are no different to current X1 stock however only Bishop drivers have been signed off on them. Darlingtons 19 will not be going Hourly it provides a crew buggy from depot to town. The PVR for the Sapphire 1/5/5A is 13 you can figure out how thats gonna work with the 12 and 19 RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Cock Robin - 05 Feb 2018 (05 Feb 2018, 2:32 am)Multi21 1441 actually broke down on its last run and was replaced by a Frequenta pulsar 1454 I believe. They still have a Bishop rota?! I wonder if all Redcar drivers got 15-20 mins on driving 4516?! RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Chris C - 05 Feb 2018 (03 Feb 2018, 6:42 pm)NewcastleOne Bit of an update for new Streetlites 1607 is NK67EDR. There are four anonymous examples at Faverdale today. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2018 - Stuartphin1639 - 05 Feb 2018 (01 Feb 2018, 4:39 pm)Jimmi 1506 does now have next stop announcements for the 12 RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - BusLoverMum - 05 Feb 2018 (03 Feb 2018, 6:53 pm)upt50k Does any member of this forum have a picture of the R reg darts that Darlington received new that carried 1600 fleet numbers that were later exchanged with Liverpool and North Wales I remember seeing them parked up in Feethams before entering service. I saw a picture of 1601 on the 21, last year, but no idea if it's still kicking about online. Edit: one here of it on the 2. Think there's one of it on the 26, too https://www.flickr.com/photos/emdjt42/4934875025 RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - tyresmoke - 05 Feb 2018 (05 Feb 2018, 10:16 am)Cock Robin They still have a Bishop rota?! The X1 buses are still based at Garnetts depot as far as I know. RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - NewcastleOne - 05 Feb 2018 (05 Feb 2018, 7:16 pm)tyresmoke The X1 buses are still based at Garnetts depot as far as I know. Why are they based at Garnetts? RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Charles41 - 05 Feb 2018 (05 Feb 2018, 7:39 pm)NewcastleOne Why are they based at Garnetts? They are indeed still based at garnetts. Have a trip down on a Sunday and you'll see Arriva vehicles parked up there. They've been based there ever since Bishop Auckland depot closed. Same situation in Northumberland where Arriva keep vehicles at Rothbury motors yard ever since Alnwick garage closed. Charles RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Stuartphin1639 - 06 Feb 2018 4650 has Next Stop Announcements for Frequenta 2 I’m guessing all vehicles that have next stop announcements now have them for every route RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - upt50k - 07 Feb 2018 (05 Feb 2018, 6:24 pm)BusLoverMum I saw a picture of 1601 on the 21, last year, but no idea if it's still kicking about online. Not the original new R reg batch these were second hand imports from Arriva Midlands (05 Feb 2018, 7:51 pm)Charles41 They are indeed still based at garnetts. Same situation in Northumberland where Arriva keep vehicles at Rothbury motors yard ever since Alnwick garage closed. It is cost effective to use Garnetts however management have threatened to return buses to Darlington when in dispute with drivers and recently tried to take their paid meal breaks and replace them with new recruits who do not enjoy the same conditions of service RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Multi21 - 07 Feb 2018 Cock Robin They still have a Bishop rota?! Supposedly 1590-1594 are "Bishop" Buses. The Bishop rota is None Stop X1s. They even have a supervisor in Bishop office overseeing matters. All bishop drivers have to be specially trained to work at Garnetts due to some of the security features of the depot. As for 4516 no they didn't because Redcar have had B10BLEs before technically Darlington have never had Streetlites on paper RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Cock Robin - 08 Feb 2018 (07 Feb 2018, 11:43 pm)Multi21 Supposedly 1590-1594 are "Bishop" Buses. One on the X66 today though ![]() RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - upt50k - 08 Feb 2018 (08 Feb 2018, 5:24 pm)Cock Robin One on the X66 today though The only real thing that a driver needs to know is the correct starting procedure which is a safeguard to prevent the bus being stolen similar to how the Daf coaches had a secret button that had to be held in as you started the bus When 1590 to 94 arrived before using them the revenue inspectors showed us the controls and then we drove them from Bishop bus station out to Toronto Lodge roundabout and back Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2018 - Dan - 10 Feb 2018 1607 and 1609 now in service at Darlington.
