RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - itsadam - 10 Oct 2022 (10 Oct 2022, 11:39 am)Dan 6191 back from Read Commercials following repaint/refurbishment.I was literally gonna ask about 6188. Do you know what refurb they're having by any chance Dan? Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Dan - 10 Oct 2022 (10 Oct 2022, 2:31 pm)itsadam I was literally gonna ask about 6188. Full repaint externally. Internally: seat re-trim, seat backs repainted, handpoles powder coated, purple/lilac walls and fixtures and fittings painted/vinyled and centre of aisle floor covering replaced. 6184, 6185 and 6191 done now and pretty unrecognisable as a bus which was new to First. I must say I wish GNE did this more with spare buses, 5498 is a perfect example of interior advertising that I wish GNE would use more, it would be great in 6099/6100/6087 etc RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - ne14ne1 - 10 Oct 2022 (10 Oct 2022, 2:40 pm)Dan Full repaint externally. Did they have NSAs already or is that yet to be fitted? Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Dan - 10 Oct 2022 (10 Oct 2022, 6:41 pm)ne14ne1 Did they have NSAs already or is that yet to be fitted? These aren’t getting NSAs fitted (yet). Of course there may be surplus kit from Citaros etc being withdrawn, so their day may come! Will these be allocated to a certain route(s) or are they for contracts?, if so what will they replace? RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - Unber43 - 10 Oct 2022 (10 Oct 2022, 7:00 pm)Michael Will these be allocated to a certain route(s) or are they for contracts?, if so what will they replace? If they are Euro6 I think the 57 would be a nice fit for them or be sent to various depot as actual spares so that X1's aren't being put on 58, CityRiders aren't being put on schools routes meaning that the 56 gets solos! They’re all predominantly on scholars at the moment although Riverside has been allocating 6185 to Volvo B9 services regularly. Thank you. RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - ne14ne1 - 27 Oct 2022 Are many ex GAL B9s currently being worked on prior to transfer up, or are the majority still serving the Capital? RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - itsadam - 27 Oct 2022 Are the 400s gonna get an interior refurb once the metro replacement ends? RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - NewcastleOne - 27 Oct 2022 (27 Oct 2022, 5:25 pm)ne14ne1 Are many ex GAL B9s currently being worked on prior to transfer up, or are the majority still serving the Capital? There’s a few at coach and bus world blackburn RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - 54APhotography - 28 Oct 2022 6227 Out today, former WVL381 <script async src="//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js" charset="utf-8"></script> RE: Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - ne14ne1 - 13 Nov 2022 6194 has been given the hideous red wheel treatment, because a red wheel really says Remembrance Poppy to the public. https://flic.kr/p/2nYVQ9R Go North East - Secondhand Deckers 2022 - streetdeckfan - 06 Dec 2022 I just noticed on one of the ex-EY B9s the doors are different sized, with the front door being wider. Do they normally just open the one larger door, or are were the doors just broken (not uncommon!) It’s a standard East Yorkshire thing on a lot of their older buses - the leaf of the doors can be opened separately on a lot of their buses. The front leaf is wider so when they are used on scholars services it would force students to go in single file and not barge on the bus all at once.
