RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - NK53 TKT - 17 Nov 2015 (17 Nov 2015, 5:24 pm)Dan Unsure how noteworthy this is as I haven't been to Sunderland station for quite some time... Or South Gossforrth or Aiiiirrrrporrrttt (17 Nov 2015, 5:45 pm)South Tyne Lad (anyone know where Prood hoe is?) Its in "Prudda"! Shame the voice has been replaced, I always like Lee Sayer's(the male voice) announcements. I wonder how many passengers think its actually just a computer automated voice? Tyne and Wear Metro - Adrian - 18 Nov 2015 https://www.facebook.com/groups/689942791114409?view=permalink&id=815815691860451 ![]() It'll be interesting to see this report, but it doesn't look good for Metro... RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 18 Nov 2015 (18 Nov 2015, 10:21 am)Adrian https://www.facebook.com/groups/689942791114409?view=permalink&id=815815691860451 Oh dear.... it doesn't does it! I would imagine they'll only fined though? RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Adrian - 18 Nov 2015 (18 Nov 2015, 10:22 am)Michael Oh dear.... it doesn't does it!I'd argue that breaching the contract, and then 'deliberately misleading' the customer (Nexus) are grounds for termination. I can't see it happening though. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 18 Nov 2015 (18 Nov 2015, 10:24 am)Adrian I'd argue that breaching the contract, and then 'deliberately misleading' the customer (Nexus) are grounds for termination. I can't see it happening though. It is but they'll get a fine and a warning.... What would happen if DB? lost the contract though... RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Bus_User - 18 Nov 2015 Of course, we need too know if this finding is even true but there could also be other factors behind why less trains(most likely it just be peak trains that would be missing) are being run such as shortage of stock. Its no secret DBTW has been failing in the maintenance side of things so basically one problem they cause leads to another. The fact 4 units are away at a time for refurbishment and plus units which are out of service either due to faults or maintenance. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - MrFozz - 18 Nov 2015 What does it say for Nexus, who apparantly failed to spot DB were not honouring there side of the contract Tyne and Wear Metro - Adrian - 18 Nov 2015 Report linked below http://www.northeastca.gov.uk/sites/default/files/minutes_document/TWSC%2024%20November%202015%2C%20Agenda%20Pack.pdf RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - NK53 TKT - 18 Nov 2015 (18 Nov 2015, 10:21 am)Adrian https://www.facebook.com/groups/689942791114409?view=permalink&id=815815691860451 How unlike metro ![]() ![]() ![]() All they did was lie, there is no need for it, they have 45 formations available to them, they need to USE them! RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 19 Nov 2015 This is off 1 hour ago: There are no trains running between St James and Monument in both directions until further notice. This is due to essential maintenance. We are currently operating a bus replacement service, the number 900, calling at or near to all stations between St James and Monument. We will update you once we have more information. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - DanPicken - 19 Nov 2015 (19 Nov 2015, 7:35 am)Michael This is off 1 hour ago: Who's running this and a few people on Facebook are confused as they don't know if its 1 stop or all around the Coast. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 19 Nov 2015 (19 Nov 2015, 7:43 am)DanPicken Who's running this and a few people on Facebook are confused as they don't know if its 1 stop or all around the Coast. No idea - they don't really explain stuff. As long as the Sunderland line isn't effected i'm alright, got to get to uni this morning! RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - DanPicken - 19 Nov 2015 (19 Nov 2015, 7:45 am)Michael No idea - they don't really explain stuff. Not yet but its good they can get a bus quick enough for 1 stop but took 3 hours for the train which managed to wreck the points. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 19 Nov 2015 (19 Nov 2015, 7:47 am)DanPicken Not yet but its good they can get a bus quick enough for 1 stop but took 3 hours for the train which managed to wreck the points. Its a slight improvement haha That's what everyones saying... however... we have to think... are drivers available... how long would it take the bus from the depot to the station etc. RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Michael - 19 Nov 2015 Metro replacement has just gone past central -didnt catch fleet number but it was a Vyking Edit:deleted my next post as it has appeared now RE: Tyne and Wear Metro - Dan - 19 Nov 2015 (19 Nov 2015, 8:48 am)Michael Metro replacement has just gone past central -didnt catch fleet number but it was a Vyking Go North East has provided two vehicles, 3972 and 3973, for the Metro Replacement.
