I didn't photo that one either, so that is a shame.

4923 is now the only 'Key' branded vehicle in the fleet now. I really do hope more do get branded to cover the loss of 8232, 8326 and 4993 plus 4848.

'Next stop, Low Fell - The Cannon. If you wish to contact us, find us on Facebook or twitter or get to those phones'.

Shame you cant dial the operator and get transferred any more, he could have used his 'dial 100 and ask for freephone Go North East' patter, he did in his Budget Windows days or whichever double glazing tat he was trying to sell.

Can you imagine....targeted adverts? We're now approaching Birtley Station Lane, exit the bus here for new Morrisons store'

'This is Low Fell, the Cannon, exit the bus here for Curry Tuesday, 2 courses and wine for £9'

Being entirely facetious here (though mildly serious...)

At what point in the contract between you and Go North East do they guarantee you a view?

Photograph here.

Just to follow up on this, I managed to get a Full Shot of 524 in Riverside Depot This Afternoon, Any ideas or reason as to why it is there.

(18 Mar 2014, 9:12 pm)Andreos Constantopolous wrote Yeah, they park outside during the day - but had never seen so many on a night.
I counted just 7 on the main road - there may have been more.

Yeah Washington depot have to park a load of buses on the road at night. I've seen them use the road that takes you down to Kwik Fit to park buses as well. I would say there is regularly between 10-15 buses parked outside the depot on a night time each time I have passed. Time for a bigger depot i think.

More than likely.

I had never thought of that before. Personally that Cadet is way too big for the S1 but it probably wont happen. The only thing I can think of is a spare for the 27X but that is very unlikely.

But none of those services would need to be registered on VOSA?

The VOSA registration is the key hint at the moment.

I believe if services can receive fares, they have to be registered - I doubt you'll find a hospital shuttle whereby passengers have to pay to get on it...

(31 Mar 2014, 10:37 am)Andreos Constantopolous wrote The x1 announcements do my head in.
Tom mentioned he used it the other week, thinking the 'next stop.... Herrington Burrrrrrrn' was great (it was a positive response anyway).

'Next stop is Wrekenton. Alight here for the shops' and the general patter, discussion etc between Gary and Lisa, is annoying.

However, on the 4, the two just simply announce the stops.
Gary is on some buses, Lisa on others and on one or two of them, Lisa suddenly announces a stop, despite every other one (both prior and beyond) being announced by Gary!

It was originally said that they were chosen because they're "well known" voices from the region (nowt to do with the advertising of course). Funny, because I'd say a well known voice from the region would be someone like Tim Healy, Jimmy Nail, Alan Shearer, etc.

Still think my suggestion of Holly and Charlotte off Geordie Shore would have went down well with the younguns.

Hahah! I'd love that, but I reckon they'd be a bit more irritating than owt that's used at the moment... Tongue
