Although it was originally intended to remain in service at Riverside until 22 December 2018, Optare MetroDecker MD1114/Optare 9083 (YJ65 EPU) has been returned to Optare for completion of annual PSV test. As such, this vehicle has returned to Percy Main Depot, to provide cover for 9083 (YJ65 EPU) in its absence.

This vehicle has entered service at Chester-le-Street Depot. Due to its longer length and higher seating capacity; this vehicle should see primary allocation to Park View Scholars services, which have seen some overcrowding issues since the start of this academic school year.
