It features audio-visual Next Stop Announcements, and is currently being prepared for service at Saltmeadows Road Depot. Once prepared for service, it is expected to be allocated to Deptford Depot.

June 2011 Stagecoach North East Photograph by This vehicle, which carries a green variation of Stagecoach's corporate livery to promote more envionmentally-friendly public transport, has arrived into the Stagecoach North East fleet, and is currently being prepared for service. Representing an investment of approximately £7.5m (partly funded by the Green Bus Fund), this batch of vehicles are believed to be in line to upgrade high-frequency cross-city routes 39 and 40. As well as featuring a special two-tone green variant of the Stagecoach corporate livery, this batch of vehicles also sport a modified corporate interior, based around green and yellow hues rather than the more familiar blue and orange. It will also form part of the Sunday PVR of service 12 (Two Ball Lonnen - City Centre - Walker - Wallsend), allowing the company to maximise the amount of mileage being operated by these fuel-efficient vehicles.

April 2011 Go North East Photograph by Following the entry into service of new "Red Arrows" branded Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs on service X1 (Newcastle - Washington - Easington Lane), this vehicle has been released for cascade and has transferred from Washington Depot to Deptford. Pending the introduction of a new service to be held under the "Red Arrows" brand, this vehicle will temporarily be allocated to service 5 (South Shields - Jarrow), retaining "Red Arrows" branding albeit with the cant rail having been stripped of vinyls.
