Having been sold to Ensign Bus Co., Purfleet, in October 2015, without yet being sold on for further service, this vehicle has now been sold for scrap to MC Tractors, Ely.
Following the use of 3822 (S822 OFT) on a small excursion hosted by Go North East on 31st December 2016 to commemorate the ending of mainstream Olympian operation, allowing enthusiasts to ride a Volvo Olympian one last time, and take some final photographs of the type at locations commonly served by the type in the lead up to its withdrawal from the fleet, this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Stanley Depot, as it does not conform to PSVAR / DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) requirements.

This vehicle has moved from Jesmond to Jesmond (Under Repair), whilst being refurbished and repainted to "MAX" specification. It is thought that "Coastliner" services 306/308 are both being upgraded to "MAX" specification. The existing Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 allocation will be retained on service 308, but service 306 will be revised to operate with VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 vehicles, with the existing "Coastliner" branded Wright Streetlite DF/Wright Streetlite Max Micro-Hybrid allocation deployed elsewhere.
Following disposal from the Arriva North East fleet, this vehicle has now been repainted into a plain white base livery with small Yorkshire Tiger logos added.
Having been evaluated for suitability as a replacement vehicle for Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 3824 (S824 OFT), this vehicle has been withdrawn from service at Riverside Depot, not having seen use in service whilst allocated to Riverside. Similar Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 3832 (S832 OFT) will replace 3824 (S824 OFT) instead.
This vehicle has been treated to a partial repaint into Go North East's new corporate livery. The new livery design is a a lot more eye-catching and features a two-tone base livery, with the traditional key colour of red towards the front of the bus, and non-metallic dark blue towards the back. It is thought that further vinyls will be added at a later date, in order to reflect the quality and customer values of Go North East.
