The first phase of the programme is bringing fibre broadband to around 90% of homes and businesses in Northumberland by December 2015. The second phase of the programme aims to bring this to 95% by the end of 2017.

January 2016 Go North East Photograph by With Transbus MPD/Transbus Mini Pointer 563 (NK53 TLN) having been deployed on the new ASDA A1/A2/A3 contract, this vehicle has been temporarily reinstated at Riverside Depot to operate the CB1 shuttle bus, which is in operation between the St Andrews Drive stop at Chowdene and Sainsburys. The shuttle service is in operation until Monday 18th January 2016, for the duration of the footbridge closure.

January 2016 Go North East This vehicle has transferred from Riverside Depot to Stanley, in a float/reserve capacity. It replaces 5160 (T810 CBW), which was withdrawn from service at Stanley last month. This vehicle was originally retained at Stanley Depot, as a float/reserve vehicle, due to the early withdrawal of Dennis Trident/East Lancs Lolyne 3874 (W184 SCU) following accident damage.
