From the 30th August services 29, X4A and X66 will see enhanced evening services while service 64A will additionally serve Norman Conquest as part of a package of improvements to bus services in conjunction with the Tees Valley Combined Authority. These improvements will be in place until at least April 2021.

Just had a message from a friend on the bus and it looks like drivers are no longer updating the capacity of the vehicle, or bothering with the Bus Full signs.

On the bus she is on, there is at least one person per row and the driver is still letting people on. I tracked the bus on the website and the capacity is still saying "Quiet, this vehicle is mostly empty"

Quite worrying if this is the case.

I mean, on the X21 yesterday it seemed like it was getting quite busy, ie. at least one every other row, and it was still showing as 'Quiet', but I never thought anything of it at the time.

Dan has asked on Facebook, if anyone has photo's of certain buses for their new timetables from the 5th September.

At Go North East we're currently typesetting individual timetables for all of our services, which will be added online and also in print, for the next set of service revisions taking place from 5 September 2020.

Our style-sheet allows for a photo of a bus to be added to the front cover, and we thought what better way to engage with the enthusiast community, than to invite everyone to showcase one of their photos on the front cover.

Well, rather than posting on the New StreetDeck / ADL E400MMC forum to keep topics relevant, I thought that I'd post my guess on here. Given the lockdown etc and the likely cost savings that will need to be made moving forward, if economic "green shoots" of recovery appear and allow Go North East to further invest in services and new vehicles, I'd predict that something akin to the following could happen but perhaps around 2022.............

New Order Option 1

• 15x ADL E400MMC or Wright StreetDeck OM936 to Washington for X-Lines X1 -- Was originally intended to receive a "heavier" vehicle type this year but forefitted due to X30 interworking pattern requirements for low height deckers.
  
• 17x Wright StreetDeck OM934 for Cobalt & Coast 309/310/311 - Includes 1x spare.
  

The above would then mean:

• 14x Wright StreetDecks (OM934) transferred from Washington to Deptford and allocated to Service 56. This includes 1x spare.
  
• 1x Wright StreetDeck (OM934) transferred from Washington to Percy Main as additional Cobalt & Coast spare alongside new example.
  
• Ex Cobalt & Coast B9TLs partially repainted (Blues to Greens) with new TVT brand but silver base. These then upgrade the Tyne Valley Ten and have already been refurbished.
  
• Ex 56 B9TLs either refurbished and or deep cleaned. These are then transferred to Percy Main for the Coaster.
  
• Ex Coaster B5LHs & Ex TVT/TTX B9TLs then either cascaded elsewhere within Go North East or another Go-Ahead subsidiary.
  

New Order Option 2

• 18x Wright StreetDeck OM934 for Cobalt & Coast 309/310/311 - Includes 2x spares
  
• 14x Wright StreetDeck OM934 for service 56 - Includes 1x spare
  

Then same cascades as option 1 (minus X1 as that route would be unchanged under option 2).

I wonder if anyone could help with this one, I'm based in Nottingham and on 11th August, I missed, by a couple of seconds, getting a shot of what I thought was BF68LCX (The wrapped Lavante 3 that made an appearance at Big bus day 2019), After a bit of research it turns out the BF68LCX is back in standard NX livery, Can anybody tell me what, in fact, was the coach that I saw on the 11th, There was obviously more than 1 done, (Which I didn't know until now), Can anybody tell me how many?
On the 11th, this vehicle was on the 152, Hull to Birmingham, Leaving Nottingham at 09.30

36091/92 haven't tracked for quite some time just wondering what's happened with them. 36091 hasn't been tracked since the 27th March and 36092 hasn't been tracking since 5th April.

19211 has moved to Sunderland according to bus times unfortunately I could not get a pic.

7492 has transferred from Jesmond to Durham according to Bustimes

A yellow Hartlepool Council school bus was parked in the yard a few days ago so they might have won some more school work in the town.

I can't sleep and I was checking over the train mapping thread. The initial plan was to knock up some sort of map, to see if there were any patterns or trends.

I think I've kept mine up to date incase I (or anyone else, I'm not precious) decide to actually do the map.

Anyway, it got me thinking about ferry and plane mapping and if there were any similar trends.

North Shields - Esbjerg
North Shields - Ijmuiden
North Shields - South Shields 

Cairnryan - Belfast 

Gourock - Dunoon
Gourock - Hunters Quay

(various ferry's around the fjords in Norway, no idea what half the places were called, never mind the way they are spelt!)
