Newcastle Central Station new entrances get go-ahead
A £4m plan to dramatically redesign Newcastle's Central Station has been given the green light.
The scheme includes two new entrances for the Victorian building, and the moving of its car parks and taxi rank.

Any news on this? Noticed that Ian Levy has mentioned on his Facebook they have plans to regenerate both the bus station and depot site. First I've heard of anything on it but know there was rumours with a merger with Jesmond years ago which is for sale atm.

Does anyone know (other than the depot) where the Tees Flex buses tend to gather between pick ups.
I know Stillington is one location as I found 3 gathered there on Monday. Just need 2 more of the things to get photos of, and annoyingly they don't track anymore.

It would appear that Arriva have decided to change the Route displays,at first i saw it on 2837,which made me think it was specifically that bus which is used for the 555,but then i saw it being used on the 553 when i was doing my shopping in Wallsend, about half an hour ago i was coming back from my local shop and saw a decker on the 308 with the same display,i kinda like it,especially with having rubbish eyesight, you can actually see the route numbers again
