Nothing of note today apart from the argument in Boro with two folks trying to get a four wheel walker onto a crowded 4659. Buggy in the disabled space, others with assorted trolleys on the front seats. Give the Stockton lad driving a mention for his patience (1115 5 ex MBS)

(30 Apr 2014, 6:06 pm)Dan wrote The B10BLEs which appear on the 71 (PVR 2) are only allocated when they aren't required on the Lime owing to vehicles being VOR. Although B10BLEs should be allocated to service 71, the first point of call is to ensure that the "Lime" receives these over other vehicle types. Again, as I've already mentioned, imagine a Cadet on the Lime? There's also the issue of the swap needing five vehicles: Chester-le-Street only have four.
I'm positive Go North East would have considered all options and as they've not chosen to go with the ones we've suggested, there must be a reason why that option was considered to be worse than services 67/69.
Actually it is 3 with the 3rd one being spare when am photoing the 71s it has at least 3 vehicles

Had the misfortune to be at an event with work at Copthorne Hotel today. Went for a drink with colleagues at Wetherspoons afterwards.
Noticed a fella at the very top of the Tyne Bridge (and I mean the top)
He seemed to be there for ages.
Then....the poor bugger jumped. He ran and jumped. It was unreal, like a scene from a movie. My heart felt like it stopped, utterly horrific
Don't suppose the poor sod survived

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, based at RAF Coningsby really are a joy to behold.
The sight and sound of WWII planes is tremendous and I am a big fan of what they do.
Their twitter and Facebook pages are worth a follow, with their fb page just sharing a video shot from the rear turret of a Lanc by a Flt Lt. https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hvid...e=535B7221

The Question is in the Thread Title, and it is something that I really fail to Understand is why Enthusiasts Refer to Buses as Females.
Surely there is some form of sense behind this I am sure, but on the flip side a Bus has an Exhaust, which to me would in a jokingly manner indicate it does in fact have a "Penis" and would of course be Male, rather than a "Vagina" in which this case may indicate that it's a Hybrid Electric Bus, which I would then sort of understand, But again on the Flip side of Things as a Bus has an Exhaust but is referred to as a Female, would that not make the Bus a "Tranny", in which I would again be confused by this reference by some Enthusiasts.
Someone please clear this up for me....I can sense this going to be a Great Topic of Conversation now isn't it.

Nexus have at last removed the Stagecoach branded timetables for the Newcastle 33 service from their Travel Centres and Bus Stations. New Nexus Branded timetables for the 33 have now been introduced.
So far so good until you open the timetable and Nexus inform you that the service is operated by Go North East.
Strange that as Kingsleys are operating the 33.
