Announcement - Directors Statement

After 14 years of occupying our current "home" in Felling, earlier today we received the phone call we all dread.....
Our landlord, Bizspace, has decided they will no longer be renewing our lease and are looking to take back possession. We have to leave the premises in Felling by 31st March 2024.

The reasons being given by the landlord is due to the current state of the roof (which the landlord has repeatedly ignored), and as such, turned our neighbours into making the decision to leave. This means that we will be the only occupants of the entire warehouse from the end of January.
We have tried to negotiate and plead, but alas, it falls on deaf ears. The only response we get now is..... "The board have made their decision to claim back the whole of T Block and then review our options sorry".

In 14 years our rent and bills have been paid on time, never ever late. Our concern now is where do we go with around 30 vehicles, both group and privately owned collectively - and that's without the tools, equipment, forklift truck and spare parts we have accumulated - all of which we are expected to be removed in less than 3 months.

If anyone can point us in the direction of somewhere suitable in the North East of England who could accommodate us please get in touch.
We have the largest collection of ex Tyne and Wear PTE/Busways service vehicles and we would like very much to keep them in the North East.

As true to a paranoid right wing state, filming in public places could be construed as Terrorism. Police forces immediately added 'Filming' to reports for the public to click online and give details of anyone filming or taking photographs. This is a rapid change to civil rights, primarily as a result of the guilty verdict found against Magomed-Husejn Dovtaev. The problem for enthusiasts is the majority won't know where is classed as a 'sensitive area'. A list today has been posted on Facebook of 3 months of major line closure for metro. These are listed below. Copied from Facebook and shorted down to the dates

13th to 14th January-South Gosforth to Haymarket 

20th to 21st January Airport to South Gosforth 

27th January Pelaw to South Shields 

10th to 11th February South Gosforth to Wallsend 

17th to 25th February (9days) Airport to Regent Centre 

16th to 17th March Heworth to South Gosforth 

29th March to 1st April (4days) Heworth to South Gosforth

North East are in the process of taking 7 ADL Enviro 300s made surplus from Wythenshawe depot recently.

The first one - 2740 CX58EVL - arrived yesterday afternoon and another (2745) is due later today. They wear the old Sapphire livery and still branded for route 263 that they used to run on.
They’re additional spare vehicles as I think someone has realised the spares % is looking a little low across the southern depots.

I love the new site layout, but would offer a small suggestion. Could a new post on the menu page be highlighted a little clearer, like in the individual threads, a blue dot.
