There are a stack of blogs out there on the internet - some better than others.
Stumbled across this blog when looking for details on the GNE X2.
The guy seems an avid enthusiast, travelling the country using public transport.
On this particular blog, he travelled to the North East - using some long gone services and vehicles, even though the adventure was a mere 5/6 years ago.
He wasn't too keen on Washington...

Don't know if I should be admitting this at 31, but I enjoy wrestling, lol, is there many other fans among us.
I was lucky to be growing up at a time when Wrestling was hot it was on fire, during the Attitude era, Austin v McMahon, DX at there peak.
British Bulldog was my favourite wrestler back in the day, I also liked The Rock, Stone Cold, HHH and HBK.
I don't watch it as much these days, I pretty much lost interest after Eddie Guerrero died and after the Chris Benoit double murder suicide.
I have seen it live at Newcastle and The Odyssey in Belfast and even met some of the Raw Roster at the Hilton in Belfast, which was an experience.
Is there any other fans among us

175102 has been taken out of service at Chester bound for Manchester.
No replacement organised, the guard just refuses to have the train in use because of a door fault (believe that's what I heard).
EDIT: A door is shutting on its own. If a person was to get trapped in it and injure themselves, it is the guard that would get into trouble.
Fitters are coming now to see the train. If they can't fix it, no replacement will be organised.

Wonder if anyone can help me here.
I don't want to promote law breaking here, but years ago I used to be a runner between here and Belgium/France and Luxembourg on Cigarette and booze cruises about 10 years ago, used to go on a coach from Durham Services, and whenever we went, we always met up with another bus on similar nefarious activities from somewhere in Tyneside, it had a tiger livery, and was just wondering whatever became of this coach, is it still pounding the roads or out of service now...
Anyone help please.....

What's everybody got at the moment then? I've got an iPhone 4S, but I'm thinking about swapping the iPhone for either a HTC One, or Sony Xperia Z. Can't really decide on the two yet, but I'm edging towards the Xperia. I'm not keen on the iPhone 5, as the battery life is no where near as good as I need between charges. Unless the 5S really improves this (which I doubt), I'll be staying clear.

Hi everyone.
I recently proposed to the North East Buses Forum Team that we bring some more modern content to the Bygone Era. While many do love the very old content we have, I feel the section would be more appealing if we followed a service from it being introduced all the way until it is withdrawn (if applicable). Upon reflection on Go North East's #OK1 service withdrawal, it seemed appropriate to me that it would be nice to archive all timetables. Obviously we can't predict which services are going to be withdrawn and/or changed, so it would be nice to archive all of these timetables. When a service receives a timetable change (I'm waiting for the comments now, based on comments made elsewhere on the forum
), the timetable can move over to the Bygone Era from a new section which will be introduced somewhere else on the forum, holding all of the current timetables that are in use with the three big companies.
Go North East recently changed the format of all of their timetables too, which means that the old timetable format is also something which could be classed as 'bygone'.
I have added all of Go North East's timetables that were accurate as of November 2012 (when a lot of service changes took place), but I have not been able to source all of the timetables before/after then.
If anyone has a timetable collection (it doesn't matter which company they're from) that is now outdated as a result of service changes or withdrawals, I would appreciate it if you could e-mail it to dan@northeastbuses.co.uk and we will look into adding this to the Bygone Era shortly. We will be able to add the current timetables in use with companies ourselves, which should be done this evening when I get back home.
Cheers!

Just interested to see what other members of the forums do daily, if its work, college, school, uni, what do you do? (School is rubbish we all knowbut what subjects have u took etc).
I'm a Nursery Nurse being qualified for just over a year now , iv'e just lost my job because the council cut our funding and we couldn't continue to provide the facilities.
Currently thinking of going to uni to increase my knowledge of childcare.
Michael.
Poll time... Do you miss school?
I personally miss Primary school more and more every year, it sounds daft but i do =(
