Just something I was thinking about while sitting on an X7, 30 Minutes late again and remembered why I never use this while an X7 standing load on a single decker and an X8 following it in the other direction both also 30 Minutes.

What's the most unreliable route in the North East due to reasons beyond the operator so not driver cancellations etc as the X7/X8 lately must be hard to beat?

I know it's always been a hated route for drivers though even in its 363/364 days.

Looks like Blyths E400s are struggling today all of 7502-5 have broken down, prehaps those 57 regs should be put on easier work would it not make sense sending 7501-6 to Ashington in trade for 7528-33 as the Ashington E400s are only allocated to scholars and 35s through the week we're as the 57 reg examples are used daily on express work so seems better having the newer ones on express work and older ones on the 35 and Scholars.

Due to Flixbus' overwhelming success since 2021. Below are some articles in recent months from Route One.  https://www.route-one.net/tag/flixbus/

Imo just like Lumo were taking on the Planes, I believe Flixbus are taking on the trains...

I see the Wardley Bus Gate has been a waste of time and money.  Its been filled back over and 57 no longer cuts across to Wardley.

Does anyone know why it has been reverted. I'm not aware of it causing any accidents or delays to traffic on A184.

It got closed off a few months back and I thought at first it was just temporary but this week its been permanently closed and kerbed back off.

Seen this on another fourm:

Latest set of accounts for the year ending June 22 have been published and show a loss of over £4,000,000. Which is worse than the previous year.

------------

4 million loss?, that's crazy

There's been discussion about this on another forum and no-one has a clue but does anyone know if there is one for Arriva North East / Northumbria / Yorkshire lately?

It appears that everyone has quit / retired over the past year (Knox and Pearce) but there's no sign of any replacements or they're staying well hidden from the public at least.

Anyone know?

Should these be banned??

Just seen a video on FB of a kids grabbing onto tree branches as the E2? is driving along a street heading to sheilds I think.  Driver in car had to stop bus and tell driver as he though someone could die.

Back to safe single deckers??
