6184 is now withdrawn from Hownsgill marking the end of the B9TL Gemini 1 at Consett, Hopefully the seats from 6190/6191 will be we kept with them being highback, and fitted to another bus.

6195 was taken by Alpha from Hownsgill

6187/6188 remain in service at Washington (the last 2 ex Manchester Geminis)

6193,6194,6196 all remain in service at Riverside (Euro 6) ex-EYMS

Might be worth swapping out the seats from the Ex GNW Geminis onto 6149-6161 batch of Gem 2's. or at least try on one of them. Would be a nice upgrade to them given that they are spare vehicles around Gateshead now.

A washington driver mentioned to me that 6367-68 will remain at washington along with 6375-76 when roadworthy again till new vehicles are sourced later in the year. Seems feasible if they're adding route changes to the x1

Why not just do following in the interim:

6397-6400 Riverside to Washington
6367/6368/6375/6376 Washington to Consett
6044/6045/6048/6157 Consett to Riverside

Problem solved

That doesn’t give them extra vehicles, just moves a few around

Not sure they'd good for the 301 mind as they'll be pretty much be life expired by then.

Probably end up getting some Streetdecks from Oxford or somewhere, wouldn't be surprised if it's fully electric before long down there tbh.

To be fair, they've had pretty sheltered lives pottering around the doors, compared to other native GNE examples.

GNE could easily get 20 years frontline service out of these on the likes of the 301, given they're considered heavy duty.

Would argue it looks better than the actual fleet livery.

Glad the Consett depot have been quick to remove the branding when they can.
There wasn't anything super about the Stanley routes  Big Grin

My wife pointed it out the other week when the first came over and stated 'I love that bus, looks very nostolgic, why don't they all look like that'

Has Zero interest in buses, but litreally the only time shes ever noticed what a bus looks like.

I think its the colours and the font of the supershuttle logo that gives it a nice retro feel.
It was a nice one off Throwback livery in a modern style.

If GNE didn't go red I would of loved some of the much older Fleet Livery/Sub Branding looks to come back like the SuperRoute. Was basic but still very nice.
I liked the idea of when Voyager was revived for the spare vehicles that would of been on Rail Rep but obviously most of the buses in that livery just never did Rail Reps or Metro Replacements soon after.
