I don't know the situation for Stagecoach, but Arriva Blyth have had to apply for planning approval through the council for their charging and depot changes. They applied for approval in March, a decision will be made towards the end of May and then if approved they will then have to get the work done. It can take time for these things to happen.

Instead of asking every few days why don’t you enjoy the man’s and enviros while they still in service because once the chargers are sorted and all the Electrics are in service they be gone so just enjoy them while you still can.

wow, i had noticed some had transferred there but i was confused as to why, i didnt realise it was around the 20 mark,

i know back when i worked at SNE, walkergate nearly always only had a small number of single deckers,

around 6-8 i believe mainly as spares but also incase a route having a diversion with low bridges, if there was meant to be a longer term diversion i believe the plan was for some of the deckers to swap with slatyford singles for the duration but that was around 12 years ago

Just to add to what col87 is saying, because of this large batch of Electric buses, these will possibly be the last new buses that Stockton will have for a long time. It be the same fleet for the next how ever many years.

It seems an excessive amount unless they want to convert one route 12 or 22 completely to single deck

Question maybe someone can answer.

Slatyford received 26276-26290 (15 buses) and 37314&37316 total of 17 buses for 27179-27181 and 27238-27251 (17 buses)  so what did 27727 27729 27730 and 27736 replace? Why are these at Slatyford? I don’t understand why we got these….

Possible extra to cover for bus shortages as there's a few of the road or have been for a long time. I'm surprised that 37301 is still at Slatyford

Could be but who knows at this point lol. 37301 was apparently made Euro 6 hence why it’s at Slatyford. I think that is a permanent transfer.

But even Walkergate seemed to have gained more vehicles than they have lost. 27726/8/31-38 transferred in but only 27157-9/27252-4 have transferred out. Can't see why they still have 37312 either

Yeah I don’t understand it either, both Slatyford and Walkergate have more buses than they need. Although when you look at how Slatyford are running they seem to be struggling yet 27727 27729 27730 and 27736 haven’t replaced anything neither did 37301

37301 has been at Slatyford since September last year when the service changes came in as I'm sure 27730 did as well and they haven't gone back
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
I don't know but could they just not be unofficial reserve until they decide what is going on.

There's still like 20 buses to withdraw after the gas buses when the Stockton electrics come into service and everyone seems to be getting rid of newer E200's in recent months aswell.

The obvious thing would be to start getting shot of the early E200's at Hartlepool but one of them has just been repainted...
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
I passed one of the gas buses this evening leaving Sunderland towards the A19. Stagecoach logo and fleet numbers had been removed. Unable to ID fully but it was one of the YR14 plates.

Out of those 2 services it would likely be the 12, the ran with ALX300's for years until the 60 plate Enviro 400's came to replace them, and going back further when it was the 12/12A/12B they used to run with Darts

Oh i remember the good old days of the alx300’s however imo I preferred the 60 plate e400s as they sounded nicer and could hold ALOT more people.Question tho what is happening with these 60 plate e400s all of a sudden they have an extremely loud hoover.i have not been on them in ages and then the one day i go on them they sound soo loud. Also another question how long do u think until the 60 plate e400s are wiped from service?

I'd imagine it'll be across all of them, there seems to be a few boards which are already singles - sure someone mentioned they are aswell.

Those 2 boards for example on the 37/38 and 22 are singles every day so assume they are.

I don't think its just limited to the 60 plates either, 19146 (07 reg), 19202 (57 reg), and a few of the 58 plates were all noisy, 146 and 202 were only about 2/3 years old when they were doing that hoover sound, so i dunno if its an age thing and/or something completely different

22883, 24117 and 27509 have been moved to Hartlepool for storage pending being sold for scrap

24121 and 24169 are due to leave Stockton for storage in Hartlepool early next week

22889 is still awaiting a decision on whether it is repairable but considering how much has been stolen from it already I can’t really see it being any decision other than scrap.

22874 is reserve fleet but has been off since January with lack of power - been to MAN but they can’t sort it! It’s disappeared from Stockton now like!

Engine seized on it last week at Tilery Shops while heading into Stockton on an X41.
