Possibly being withdrawn and stored at Darlington depot?

Was being used by the training school on a ‘retraining’ turn for a Redcar driver I understand

Thanks for that, makes sense since the route it was taking in didn't make sense to get to the depot (via Yarm Road).

Do we know what actually it is as decker dont operate the x2 smd 3 because of the low bridges

This is Redcar Depot we are talking about here. 7402 is obviously being kept local when really it should be working x93/94 boards instead of using beaten up VDL Pulsars.

It’s 1376 tracking as 7402 - the B9s can’t be used on X2s or X3s beyond Redcar, they’re too tall for Marske Railway Bridge (the E400MMCs and 7609/10 can fit under that however) while all Redcar’s deckers can’t go under the bridge at Redcar East.
RE: Redcar depot
It doesn't matter what is tracking as what or what will fit under what bridge. Bottom line is simple? The B9's etc al were brought here to work the X93/4 boards and try and prevent the seemingly endless chaos that blights these routes not languish parked up against the fence or running on town services.

Again we have regular cancellations and overcrowding as ageing, wholly unsuitable VDL Pulsars deputise, even the Evoras have been pulled from the work they were brought here for.
RE: Redcar depot
BU25 ZDW parked up in redcar depot presuming its going tk be 4510. Believe there only 4501 to arrive.

Whats happening with the remaining temsa? Anymore from Merseyside coming over or is 1438 and 1534 coming back to redcar

Remaining Temsas are staying until tests run out… with several Pulsars to go out on loan to other depots to kickstart a repaint program that will finally see the fleet smartened up.

Service changes in November will likely see 1438 return along with a few others. More on this when it goes public.

What service changes? How do you know what is happening with the fleet? Is there somewhere we can see this info?

There are major changes to what depots operate certain services come November.

Also reductions to certain services.

Staff currently being briefed and will be made public very shortly

Probably would work though.

Not practical nor would either have the space to take on the other…

As said it will be public shortly once staff are aware… so for now no as it’s not publically available.

As I thought, no proof.
RE: Redcar depot
As I said, this was speculation. In reality it would be impossible. How for example could Dormanstown send vehicles and staff to cover the Darlington boards and vice versa. The dead mileage would surely out weigh the cost. Then there are the space implications to think about as well as covering for breakdowns. The list goes on.

The idea of giving some of the fleet a face-lift is a good one though. Depends though on what will be regarded as a face-lift?:I doubt, in the current climate that it will be internal even though a few vehicles would benefit from it.

Just on a discussion point it depends where the depot is. There's plenty space in the Middlesbrough area where they could easily open a super depot and replace both.

Both depots aren't really ideally located nowadays, especially if they use the Whitby outstation more, could you throw more X4 boards in there for example? Other than that everything runs pretty much near Middlesbrough now anyway.
