(06 Dec 2015, 7:59 pm)LeeCalder Well earlier, myself, Sam Tillson, Gary Hunter and Scott Atkinson went on a little adventure that took us as far as Stanhope and Alston. Getting there proved difficult, as we had to cross a few 'Fords', one of which was quite swollen.... This is Guessburn near Stocksfield....

Brave or daft?  Wink

It looks like there's still a lot more water to come downstream.

Most certainly brave Tongue

The sign to the far left suggests that the water is no deeper than 1 foot, however it was certainly deeper than that!

Good job you didn't need help like this lot (and many others), cos S&R is based on Humberside now.
You lot would have had a canny wait.

Seriously, if it could have snowed any other day in December after today (excluding December 27th) I wouldn't have had a problem with it snowing, but now it's looking likely that I have spent money for gig tickets and being unable to go. WHY TODAY?!

Heavy snow in Newcastle City Centre.

Looking forward to seeing people going for a night out dressed in jeans/tee shirt or little dress/high heels.

According to the Arriva Live Map earlier there was a 7 running around 105 minutes late! Mind it also said there were buses a few minutes away from Newton Aycliffe Town Centre for around 40 minutes!

Sky can't seem to get any signal, just been a blue screen since I came home an hour ago.

Have you tried switching it off at the wall, leaving it for a couple of minutes then restarting it?
